Vine Deloria was one of the true Renaissance Minds of the 20th Century. I read his books decades ago, and then got interested in him again when I ran into a presentation he did at a Velikovsky Convention I have on DVD. This is, I believe, the last book he wrote and it is fascinating, especially if Native American shamanism interests you. Highly recommended.
