War's effect on families.

I mentioned this elsewhere but here is probably better.

I am looking for a book/books concerning the psychological damage caused to families as a result of the father (etc) going to war. Both of my grandfathers and also my father went to war. I know it had a huge impact on us but it would really help to read something about the psychological side. If anyone knows something please let me know. I will appreciate it.
