Carbon Based Lifeforms - Birdie

This song stirs up a feeling of missing a home that I can't remember. I get the same feeling when I look at pink and violet clouds during a sunset. It makes my heart hurt but it is a happy feeling at the same time.

And death shall have no dominion - Dylan Thomas

Read by Richard Burton

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead man naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.

Her name was Marte, she was my mother in law and she was quadriplegic, she can not move anything of her body, she had MS and lived in that condition during 30 years in an hospital. But she loved listen to music and one her favorite music group was Kool & The Gang. She loved to listen to this group! And I ask myself: was she seeing herself dancing in that intimate space that we all have inside us? Today I remember her listening to this group. And I like to see her dancing, dancing, dancing...

Yesterday evening as I went to bed this wonderful song by one of my favorite soul artists came to mind and made me emotional:

People Get Ready by Impressions/Curtis Mayfield

People get ready, there's a train comin'
You don't need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'
You don't need no ticket you just thank the lord

People get ready, there's a train to Jordan
Picking up passengers coast to coast
Faith is the key, open the doors and board them
There's hope for all among those loved the most
There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner whom would hurt all mankind
Just to save his own
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
For there is no hiding place against the kingdoms throne

People get ready there's a train comin'
You don't need no baggage, just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'
You don't need no ticket, just thank the lord
