An arrangement of Enya's "May it be" for pan flute by Brad White. Beautiful to me.

Sweet, sweet, sweet...

Listening while I sit here in a corporate office, earphones on, and otherwise working (and being bombarded by wireless radio waves and probably microwaves that are frying my brain).

This a lovely simple song i think by El Perro del mar, it´s called "God Knows (gotta give to get back)".

God Knows :
god knows
I've been taking a lot without giving back
god knows
I've been taking a lot without giving back

you gotta give to get
you gotta give to get back
you gotta give to get
you gotta give to get back
you gotta give to get
you gotta give to get back to the love

Sounds like good sentiment for one doing esoteric work on the self, and waking up to objective reality of life.

"You will see that in life you receive exactly what you give." (From the first initiation-Salzmann)

I have been listening to Heartland by Tim Wheater. It is truly moving. As I write this I am struck by his name. Tim is the name of my darling brother who is passed from this world, and Wheater is like the sorting process and the ripening of the wheat that we are. I like that. :cool2:

hi below are the lyrics to "Brothers in arms" originaly made by Dire Straits but the link refers to the cover made by Gregorian - for those who dont know about their work - they rearange pop/rock hits into chanting versions with guitars, drums ...
The gregorian version really moves me :)

listen and enjoy - its beautiful

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDdeNwlJ44U

lyrics:

These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arm

Through these fields of destruction
Baptism of fire
I've watched all your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

This is my first post in the music section.

I have been listening almost constantly since I bought it to "Mumford and Sons" Album "Sigh no More". Driving my kids nutty in the process!! ;)

I love all the tracks and the lyrics are great, despite the fact that with me singing loudly in the car at the top of my voice I had got most of the lyrics slightly wrong! :D

I would recommend the Album if you like sort of Folky music.

The Lyrics to the title song are one of my favorites.

Sigh no More

Serve God, Love me and mend
This is not the end
Live unbruised, we are friends
I'm sorry

Sigh no more, no more
One foot in the sea and one on shore
My heart was never pure
You know me

But Man is a giddy thing
Oh man is a giddy thing

Love it will not betray you
Dismiss or enslave you, it will set you free
Be more like the man you were made to be

There is a design, an alignment, a cry
of my heart you see
The beauty of love as it was made to be.

All of the tracks are fab in my opinion :)

The classic of Desireless - Voyage Voyage... a gregorian chant version!!
I dont know if anyone else likes this song but this version is simply beautifull!!!

The lyrics :

Voyage (voyage)
Et jamais ne revient.

Roy Rogers - Elton John 1973

Sometimes you dream, sometimes it seems
There's nothing there at all
You just seem older than yesterday
And you're waiting for tomorrow to call

You draw to the curtain and one thing's for certain
You're cozy in your little room
The carpet's all paid for, God bless the TV
Let's go shoot a hole in the moon

And Roy Rogers is riding tonight
Returning to our silver screens
Comic book characters never grow old
Evergreen heroes whose stories were told
Oh the great sequin cowboy who sings of the plains
Of roundups and rustlers and home on the range
Turn on the T.V., shut out the lights
Roy Rogers is riding tonight

Nine o'clock mornings, five o'clock evenings
I'd liven the pace if I could
Oh I'd rather have a ham in my sandwich than cheese
But complaining wouldn't do any good

Lay back in my armchair, close eyes and think clear
I can hear hoofbeats ahead

Elton Jonh - I've Seen the Saucers

Tune in, wouldn't it be something
Rumours spreading into panic
I've seen movements in the clearing
Someone sent you something satanic

I have to leave you, radar's calling
Outside somebody landed
Crazy wavelengths leave you helpless
Oh don't forget me I'm so stranded

I wouldn't fool you but I've seen the saucers
So many times I'm almost in tune
Watching them flying in formation
Thinking how I could be so immune

I've seen them I've been there with them
I can tell you all you want to know
Something touched me and I was only sleeping
Wouldn't you, wouldn't you like to go

Stars climbing into their planets
Systems won, controlled from birth
Empty living on this highway
Can you see me mother earth

It's so endless whirling onwards
Wonder what's cooking at home tonight
Maybe if I promise not to say a word
They can get me back before the morning light

Iron Maiden - Brave New World
from the album Brave New World

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqz25Xxxa3Y

Dying swan's twisted wings, beauty not needed here
Lost my love, lost my life, in this garden of fear
I have seen many things, in a lifetime alone
Mother love is no more, bring this savage back home

Wilderness house of pain, makes no sense of it all
Close this mind dull this brain, Messiah before his fall
What you see is not real, those who know will not tell
All is lost, sold your souls to this brave new world

A brave new world, in a brave new world
A brave new world, in a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world

Dragon kings, dying queens, where is salvation now
Lost my life lost my dreams, rip the bones from my flesh
Silent screams laughing here, dying to tell you the truth
You are planned and you are damned in this brave new world

A brave new world, in a brave new world
A brave new world, in a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world

A brave new world, in a brave new world
A brave new world, in a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world

Dying swan's twisted wings, bring this savage back home

THEOLOGIANS - by Wilco Theologians dont know nothing about my soul, about my soul. I'm an ocean and this emotion slow motion, slow motion. Illiterati lume fedei god is with us everyday, the illiterate light is with us every night. Theologians they dont know nothing about my soul oh they dont know. They thin my heart with little things and my life with change. In so many ways i find more missing every day. Theologians... I'm going away where you will look for me. Where I'm going you cannot come. No one's ever gonna take my life from me. I lay it down a ghost is born a ghost is born a ghost is born... I am a notion. I am all emotion. I am a cherry ghost.
