ARKONA - Slavsia, Rus
(translated lyrics english)
Mother Earth is great, Rus The Great!
Oh, how wide are your lands,
Through the golden fields
Dazhdbog’s children came there.
Through the old eternal thickets,
Through the distant lands,
Our native brothers began their way –
They are Dazhdbog’s sons.
Raising our menacing flags up,
We’ll revive the Rus of Bygone times!
We’ll keep the testament of Prav,
I swear to the Gods!
Oh, Mother-night, daughter of Svarog,
I beg you to hide the ancient behests of ancestors,
I beg you to hide them from an evil eye of enemy
In the thickets of holy forests.
My heart was dying down
When I said words hardly breathing:
“A glory to you, my dear mother!
A glory to you, Russian soul!
Through the old eternal thickets,
Through the distant lands,
Dear brother, let us say:
“A glory to you, Rus, my Land!”

Rus is the old name used to designate Russia. Rus also referred to the Russian people as well as the medieval country called Rus (between the 9th and 12th century). The Rus extended over the territory of present-day Ukraine, Belarus and a small part of present-day Russia.
Dajbog (or Dažbog) is the sun and harvest god. He is the son of Swarog. His name means "god who gives". He gives strength, health, wisdom and skill to men. He is sometimes considered the ancestor of all Russians. According to some legends, Dajbog was once a hero and later became a god.
Prav is one of the three worlds in the Book of Veles (one of the oldest books dealing with Slavic history and religion). These three worlds are the Prav (the world of the Gods), the Jav (the material world, the one where we live) and the Nav (the immaterial world, the world of the dead). We could therefore translate the passage referred to "We will keep the heritage of the world of the Gods".
Svarog is one of the greatest gods of Slavic mythology. He is the god of the sun, sky, fire and metallurgy. He is the celestial blacksmith. He would be the father of several Slavic gods.
