Thinking about music and instrumentation after reading the 24 Jan 2026 session thread, a Shilpa Ray song got stuck in my head. I can't find a great video of the song that was in my head, "O My Northern Soul", but here is another of her songs I really like, performed solo with her harmonium.

 
Tracy Chapman - Give Me One Reason

I am not usually a Blues enthusiast, but there's something about this song that gives it a bit of a twist. I think it's the extra chord change in the first line. It just feels fresh, and I have been carrying it in my mind these past days, before I even recalled what the song was/who sang it. Searching and identifying songs using the Internet has been among my Top 3 favourite reasons for having the Internet. Simply wonderful!
