What are you listening to?

I like the chants, thanks @Yas.
I also like Rim Banna very much, thanks @goyacobol. I have the first one of the two videos open in a tab in my browser since it was posted :-D and do listen to it again and again very often. I began to love arabic music since some years ago.

Dhafer Youssef - Nafha

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind.

And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so." Julius Caesar

I just listened, probably for the first time, to the lyrics of The Beatles', "Revolution"

This may well be something I am quite alone, (or at least very late), in discovering, but just in case I'm not the only one who has drifted through thousands of songs without being in the moment enough to really hear them...

I was surprised to discover that "Revolution" wasn't at all what I expected; Indeed, it serves as a rather stern message which might be heeded by today's Radical Left.

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world

But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're all doing what we can

But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright, al...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You'd better free your mind instead

But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow

Don't you know know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright

~~~
It seems the Beatles weren't socialists. Color me surprised.
