Neil Finn - Song of the Lonely Mountain

Far over the Misty Mountains rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before we see once more
Is our kingdom a distant light

Fiery mountain beneath a moon
The words unspoken, we'll be there soon
For home a song that echoes on
And all who find us will know the tune

Some folk we never forget
Some kind we never forgive
Haven't seen the back of us yet
We'll fight as long as we live

All eyes on the hidden door
To the Lonely Mountain borne
We'll ride in the gathering storm
Until we get our long forgotten gold

We lay under the Misty Mountains cold
In slumbers deep, and dreams of gold
We must awake, our lives to make
And in the darkness a torch we hold

From long ago when lanterns burned
Until this day our hearts have yearned
A fate unknown, the Arkenstone
What was stolen must be returned

We must awake at break of day
To find our song for heart and soul

Some folk we never forget
Some kind we never forgive
Haven't seen the end of it yet
We'll fight as long as we live

All eyes on the hidden door
To the Lonely Mountain borne
We'll ride in the gathering storm
Till we get our long forgotten gold

Far away the Misty Mountains cold

Bruce Springsteen - "Western Stars"
This album came out last year and it's all brilliant but this song stands out in particular.

I wake up in the morning
Just glad my boots are on
Instead of empty in the whispering grasses
Down the Five at Forest Lawn
On the set, the makeup girl brings me
Two raw eggs and a shot of gin
Then I give it all up for that little blue pill
That promises to bring it all back to you again

Ride me down easy
Ride me down easy, friend
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again

Here in the canyons above Sunset
The desert don't give up the fight
Coyote with someone's Chihuahua in it's teeth skitters
'Cross my veranda in the night
Some lost sheep from Oklahoma
Sips her Mojito down at the Whiskey Bar
Smiles and says she thinks she remembers me from that
Commercial with the credit card

Hell, these days there ain't no more
Now there's just again
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again

Sundays I take my El Camino
Throw my saddle in and go
East to the desert where the charros
They still ride and rope

Our American brothers cross the wire and bring the old ways with them
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again

Once I was shot by John Wayne
Yeah, it was towards the end
That one scene's brought me a thousand drinks
Set me up and I'll tell it for you, friend

Here's to the cowboys
Riders in the whirlwind
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again
And the western stars are shining bright again

Tonight the riders on Sunset are smothered in the Santa Ana winds
And the western stars are shining bright again

C'mon and ride me down easy
Ride me down easy, friend
'Cause tonight the western stars are shining bright again

I woke up this morning
Just glad my boots were on

"Screaming In The Night"

Sons of vengeance, can you rescue me, they got me tied up to a woe tree
They had me screamin' and alone in the night
I'm beginning to see what's wrong and what is right
What is wrong and what is right, oh, what is wrong and what is right

The gates was gettin' rusty, as we sailed into the dark
The stars were out and shinin' against the moonlit hour
The wolves were out and howlin', most of the time
And I was cold and shiverin' and bleedin' in the night
Bleedin' in the night, oh, bleedin' in the night

Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true (our love was true)
Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true

In the corner of the valley, we took him by surprise
The sound of steel rang loud, above the battle cries
I found her lying lifeless, dagger through her heart
I picked her up, and held her high, and I swore to be avenged
Swore to be avenged, oh swore to be avenged

Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true (our love was true)
Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true
Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true (our love)
Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun, our love was true

Tangerine Dream

Some kind of compilation.

The first comment on this YT vid is apropos.

R.I.P. Edgar, You were a leading pioneer of electronic music exploration. Edgar once said: “There is no death, there is just a change of our cosmic address." I'm glad his address was here on earth while I was here. "

Tangerine Dream

Apologies for the above. Once they added beats, they were dead to me.

Here's one of their classics. Force Majeure

Skimmed through it, but yeah I found several tracks in roughly the mid and end portions of the compliation that I liked. I had never heard of him, so thanks for that. Due to being curious and searching for just single tracks of his songs, I actually came across this tribute to him by another artist. I starts out very nicely I feel, and there is a track list as well. Maybe some of you guys might like it:
