What religion is everyone?

A Disturbance in the Force
I was baptized as a Roman Catholic. I imagine everyone in here is mostly Christian so I just want fellow members of the Body of Christ whether u still believe that or something else is not important to know that we are a family and must recognize this so that we can share in unity and understand that we are each parts of a whole and its still our obligation to take care of the whole meaning each other.

Sorry, think you dropped into the wrong bar?

Hi Putin153

Welcome to the Forum. You're right in that it's likely that most of the people here have Christianity as their background in one form or another. But there are people here from all around the world encompassing many religions or alternatively, no formal belief system at all. You will find the common denominator to be that they've felt there is more to the story than what they've been told so far. It makes for a great atmosphere of exploration and learning. Whether people still wish to hold to the tenets they were raised with is entirely up to them. :)

Seeing as this is your first post here, it's customary for new members to introduce themselves on the Newbie Board. It doesn't have to be too personal personal, just a bit about yourself and how you found the Forum.

Hi Angelburst,
Considering that this is Putin153's first post, your response was a bit abrupt and not very welcoming. People find the forum for all kinds of reasons. Please remember external consideration, especially for new members.

That is exactly so and well put, Herondancer.

Welcome to the Forum, Putin153. :)

Sometimes I think my religion must be Java because when I feel like I'm in the deepest of dark places, a solution seems to be compiled Just In Time.

On a more serious note, when and where I ever attended church growing up, it was Pentecostal. Today I'm inclined toward PaleoChristianity because I'm very familiar with the statement of principles, the core, or primitive concepts, the historical mathematics of the person on whose work the core concepts are based and, as well, DCM.

So, yeah. What you said:

I'll raise a glass of lemon-flavored seltzer water and offer a toast to that. I need the quinine sometimes, I think.

BTW, welcome to the forum! :)

The Cs said 'Life is a religion'. Karl Marx said 'Religion is the opiate of the masses'. As a lowly human, I think that religion is a man made construct in order to control people. I use history as a reference for that, and I'm pretty cynical about the whole thing. It seems to me that anything could be made into a 'religion' with a bit of indoctrination and wishful thinking. It tends to divert from any interesting messages that some of humanity's teachers may have had.

Welcome to the forum Putin153. :welcome:

We are hopefully working on the "unity" issue here. I don't take offense with being encouraged to think about what Boris Mouravieff calls the "B" influences.

I think that many of us can relate to either our current or previous concepts of religion. As Ruth mentioned the Cs say "life is religion" which is closer to my concept of it now.

Considering we study various ideas on the subject of religion here you will get different opinions I suppose. For some it seems to be a less appealing subject. And as Ruth says religion has been used to manipulate us and is not always full of good influences. I just choose as the Cs also say:

Session 28 June 1997
A: Egos are a problem, yes, but suggest we not throw the infant out
with the suds.

I look forward to you sharing more with us. :)
