White teeth

If there are no negative health consequences with darker teeth, then perhaps just leave it alone and spend energy on other health matters?

I agree with luc's comments on this question.

If someone is still on a high sugar/carb diet and is worried about their teeth and appearance then I'd say energy is wasted as you have said hlat. But once diet and health are on the heal, maintaining to socially accepted standards are quite beneficial in today's world.

I've been dipping tobacco for 30+ years. My wife and I started oil pulling (swishing in mouth for 10-20 minutes) with coconut oil a few months ago and my teeth seem whiter so that may be something to try.

I have been brushing my teeth with half coconut oil / half whatever toothpaste my wife buys. It may seem strange at first, but now I cannot brush without it, the toothpaste seems too harsh. It has stopped the discoloration I used to have from getting worse but I don't yet have "pearly whites". I started this because i was getting very much darker areas at the top of some teeth and it feels "rougher' there - too much teeth abuse methinks (and/or not brushing properly). I think I must continue oil-pulling again but i don't have the money for a lot of coconut oil but hopefully soon... same with other oils, currently the money is tighter than it's ever been :/

I understand about the money! Looking at some past pictures, my teeth are definitely whiter now after oil pulling but they still have a long way to go to be considered really white :)
