Good to get thinking on this. Thanks Bud.
Disgust is one of those feelings that once I would have made effort to curb under the programing that it was a subjective judgement value placed on something or someone. It is obvious to me now that I was conditioned by succumbing to information (COINTERPOL) that appealed to me at the time because of it's "nice" value, and a way to sooth and cope with the feelings of discomfort I was experiencing from living in a society that was incompatible with my inner radar.
I've grown quite fond of the word lately: I'd quite like the idea of a bumper sticker reading "If you're not disgusted you're not paying attention" :/
I guess everything in 3D can be revealed as ultimately artificial from the highest point of objective, or spiritual view, when/if all is stripped back, and the veil omitted. But we still are here, in 3D, so we work via the 3D interface that we are presented with.

I understand that disgust is a physical expression but aren't many expressions of disgust learned behaviors and subjective?.

This phenomena might be understood by relating it to Stockholm Syndrome?opossum said:I have noticed how people can be both attracted to and repelled by something or someone at the same time. Could this be a form of cognitive dissonance caused by the real self trying to emerge?
opossum said:I don't remember where I read it but I thought Ouspensky, quoting G, once said that ,"..most expressions of revulsion/disgust were artificial and had to do with the ego and identification." [paraphrased]
