Would this be a possible solution to my junk food cravings?

You are hungry and crave junk food simply because you are not getting the nourishment your body needs. Thus, when your brain scans your blood it says "no nutrition here, turn on hunger!"

Just read the entire "Life Without Bread" thread in the diet and health section before attempting to continue this discussion.

I used to crave hamburgers - and already then a roommate told me that what I was really craving was the meat in the patty. It took me ten more years and this forum helped me enormously to actually make the change.

It sounds to me like there is a lot of psychology and brain chemistry involved. Our bodies get addicted to processed food because it over-stimulates pleasure centers in our brains. If you eat normal healthy food once you're addicted to junk food, it won't stimulate pleasure centers, so it won't seem like food to your brain or body until you re-adjust your chemistry to healthy food. It takes a while. Perhaps getting acupuncture or hypnotherapy might help get you past the most difficult part. Exercising and doing EE may also help re-regulate your body's response to food. EE can also help clear emotional blockages that you may not realize are causing these over-powering cravings. It takes a full life-style change to overcome such an addiction. Knowledge and understanding is the first step, but finding the will to follow the knowledge is the next step. Good luck to you.
