Hello,I would like to ask forum members for their opinion on a hand injury I have.
Ten years ago, I hit a wooden door with the flat of my hand and was in a lot of pain. An MRI showed nothing unusual, and the doctor prescribed a hand splint.
Ten years later, I'm still in pain and sometimes have terrible pain. I'm right-handed. I can move, but if I bear weight, the pain starts. If I bear weight for fifteen minutes, it takes about an hour for the pain to go away.
I had an MRI two weeks ago because I woke up with very intense pain—right when I woke up. I think I move during the night. They wrote on the report "sequelae due to complete ligament tear." It's in my wrist, and it shows that the ligament was torn in the middle. There's also a cyst. The doctor, ten years back, at the first MRI, didn't mention a "torn ligament," which is quite strange. I'm going to have a cyst puncture in the hopes that the pain will stop.
I wanted to ask if anyone had ever encountered this situation—to advise me, perhaps to tell me "yes, this," "no, definitely not this," please.
Does one ever get the hand back? Anything that requires my right hand becomes painful. Computers, carrying things, pushing things, etc. I'd be happy to speak with someone who has experience about this, if possible. Thanks in advance, for any suggestion, experience.
