Your favorite classical tunes...

In regard to the discussion on the last Cs session on electronic music, I tried to look for old classical recordings, though probably some are digitally remastered. Some examples:

Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major, K. 219 "Turkish", Marie Soldat-Roeger, Otto Schulhof, 1920

Marie Hall-Mendelssohn, Mendelssohn concerto 3rd Finale, 1905

Joseph Joachim plays J. S. Bach's Tempo di Borea, 1903

Yes, that's J.S. Bach :)
From the channel: "For those of you who have not heard of Joseph Joachim, he was one of the most famous and influential violinists in the 19th century. He is also considered to be one of the first violinist to have recorded (1903)."

Ravel’s Bolero is performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under Lionel Bringuier ‘s direction. Live recording on February 16th 2018 in the auditorium of Radio France (Paris).

Though the spanish dancer Ida Rubinstein ordered Ravel a ballet on orchestrated Isaac Albeniz pieces, the French composer chose to work on a specific spanish dance called Bolero, because of its potential repetitive and haunting aspect. The Bolero is built on two phrases alternated and repeated without any rhythmic change. The irresistible effect of this captivating piece is rather the result of the perpetual crescendo and addition of instruments.
