When I was a sophomore I had a big crush on this girl. And I did not know why except that I really liked her. She was not my type at all I just really had an emotional feeling for her. It is like when you see a toy in a store when you are young and you just really attached to that toy and you want it. So when I transfered to another school my junior year I see this girl that I am interested in. But she is in another school their is more then one school in our building. But it is something about her that I am drawn to. And I haven't even talk to her yet so I looked for her on myspace a social page and found her and added her. So when I added her I realized that she looked like the girl I liked back when I was at my old school. So I went to the girl I liked at my old school on her page and looked at her zodiac sign. So what I found was that she had the exact same sign as the girl I am currently interested in.
So I was thinking could this be a coincident or am I just attracted to cancers which was there signs. Because I just started to have these crushes on these girls who I barely know. And I have know Idea why because for me I have to get to know you first before I just start liking you like that. But maybe it was just a big coincident that they both was cancers and I had crushes on them. Because I do like pretty girls and both of them were pretty so that could be the case. But one of the girls was like normal pretty if you know what I mean she is not gorgeous nor is the old girl I liked. So I don't know why I had such a big crush on both of these girls but I think because of those zodiac sings. So maybe I am attracted to cancers so maybe these zodiac signs are real maybe they do tell you who you really are. But do you all think that this big crushes I had was because of the astrology of zodiac signs, or was it just a big coincident that I had a crush on two girls for no apparent reason. This is actually a topic i wondered if anyone had done more research into?

I read a lot about astrology for about 6 years or so and casually found out everybodys star sign and observed people.

Now if you have read about astrology you will know it's not meant to only be about your sun sign which is meant to be a main factor, there is also your moon sign and rising sign which are meant to be big influences.

I think the issue with astrology when it comes to personality assesment/attraction/relationships is that it's subjective to decide peoples personality traits and how you think they think/interact with reality.

Also when people fall outside of their personality traits it could be blamed on where their other planets are too.

So after 9 years i'm still undecided, can anyone shed some light on Astrology in regards to personality/relationships.

Any studies, research in the field?

I remember the C's saying it is not correct as taught in it's current form?

well, it happened to me too once, i fell for this girl under the solar sign of Libra, everything worked fine for me at least, until she suddenly disappeared from my life, i suffered a lot, thanx for the most part to my wonderful wishful thinking.
Just a couple months after, i fell for this other girl who was on my opinion a blind exact copy of the first one,i mean the way they expressed about life and the things they liked and so on.., and happened to be libra as well, it puzzled me to the point of me thinking to have this cosmic destiny to fall for libra girls, but just like the first girl, this one also disappeared from my life..(!!!).
Of course the feeling was overwhelming, and i couldn't stop drawing comparisons on how similar they were, until i started to think outside the roses and clouds of romanticism, i realized that there was a deeper implication in my relationship with these two persons, and my reactions to physicality and how my mind would lie to me just to justify my egotistical actions , i learned a lot from this two interactions ; free will , wishful thinking, i got to know myself and how ego played such a huge role in my reactions when with them, how the pain that i felt when they decided to not be with me was a mere trying to change what the reality was,  denying the truth to myself in pursuit of  more pleasant thoughts.

the work of carlos castaneda on self importance suddenly clicked!, it's been a couple of years now since then, but if i may, rather that looking for an answer to such a question outside, find it inside, i could suggest past lives? but if so then that would imply a karmic connection? tied to a lesson maybe?, or you just like something deeper on them not apparent to your conscious mind? the possibilities spread infinitely almost, and can only be limited by you wishfully thinking.

So it could of also been my ego talking to me telling me that I am attracted to libra's. But that is a interesting story Alejo because the first one I liked also left my life. And I have not seen her since but I do think it is more to astrology then what we think. And like the cassiopaea said that is not the full story of astrology. Because maybe it has something more to do with the conscious and mind then planets and cycles.

In the context of 4th Way teachings, here is what Gurdjieff had to say about astrology:

There were five of us besides G. One of us asked him what his views on astrology were, whether there was anything of value in the more or less known theories of astrology.
"Yes," said G., "it depends upon how they are understood. They can be of value and they can be without value. Astrology deals with only one part of man, with his type, his essence—it does not deal with personality, with acquired qualities. If you understand this you understand what is of value in astrology."

Rodney Collins, a student of Ouspensky, has explored astrology following a holistic method connecting the planetary influences to the functioning of the human body in his work " The Theory Of Celestial Influence". Collins uses the law of three and the law of seven along with the idea of cosmoses as explicated in ISOTM and also uses physiological information to create his theses. Astrology (or celestial influence) is treated as a study of affinities and tendencies instead of being used as a tool for forecasting or predictions. The framework is quite different from the traditional zodiac . 6 fundamental "types" of human essence are described along with the influence of the endocrine system in the formation of the types. The endocrine functions are in turn influenced by the planetary positions. Most humans are of mixed type with some predominating tendencies. The 6 types with corresponding endocrine system and celestial body of influence are described as
1) lunar type - pancreas - moon-: described as passive, moody and introspective
2) mercurial type - thyroid - mercury: described as restless, high energy and impulsive
3) venusian type - parathyroid - venus : described as calm steady and passive
4) martial type - adrenal - mars: described as vigorous, energetic and passionate
5) jovial type - posterior pituitary - jupiter : described as rhythmic, cheerful and tolerant
6) saturnine type - anterior pituitary - saturn : described as having a comprehending mind, capacity for self-control and learnability

In addition, the solar influences are related to the thymus , the influence of the planet uranus related to the sex glands and the influence of neptune on the pineal gland.

These human types are put in a enneagram and a concept of movement/circulation is introduced. This sense of movement is utilized in the Work sense to give a direction towards the development of tendencies after one's type (essence) has been understood.

Thus we may perhaps say that true movement for jovial type is not back to lunar but on to a seventh and as yet potential neptunian type. If we think of the affinity between Neptune and the pineal gland, and through this with the process of regeneration in general, we shall understand that neptunian type could only mean a quite new kind of man, in whom strivings towards consciousness had borne physical fruit and had actually remoulded his body in accordance with new powers and the effects of their use.

I see it has nothing to do with there personality but there essence and there consciousness of life and existents. So it is only a part of us so it was like a part of me drag me to these young ladies. I would like to no more on astrology I will research thank you.
