Basically half of what I mentioned about expected spin. 
Cuomo could have won if the 3rd candidate had dropped out like Trump advised. Even though Cuomo is a disaster he would have been much better then Mamdani.You could also look at that as a small glimmer of poetic justice.
From the brief reports I saw, it didn’t seem like a massive victory. Cuomo probably could have been elected if he hadn’t made himself completely repellent as a candidate. But that’s the absolutely farcical clown show that is US politics these days.

The amerikan discourse on local politics is as retarded as it is on global politics. People still believe in elections and other media theaters. New York is Wall Street and some sects that not Christian or Muslim. Therefore, only money talks and the rest is meaningless labels for the populace. Personally I've been called communist, fascist, terrorist and other things I can't repeat here so all this online freakout is funny circus at best.

Mamdami presents himself in a very appealing way for some people. The population of NYC has gone through a dramatic change in demographics over the decades with a replacement population so values aren't the same for America. The voting systems are still rigged as well. But, these areas where Dems won where guaranteed anyway and spinning it like Trump is to blame for his unpopular policies is nonsense like I've been hearing. The concerning thing is these people are so radical. A large percentage of Jews voted for him as well so you have to wonder. What is going on with these huge hats?
I predict even more people moving out of NY to Florida.

In the case of the NYC mayor that is probably true, but as far as politics in general it is not always as black and white as that, I think.
At the highest level, "they" really did not want Trump, even though he seems to be blackmailed and easily misled on some topics.
Political choices can also matter a lot at the local level, eg. is the local sheriff going to side with his community or with the cabal if push comes to shove. Catherine Austin-Fitts keeps recommending to pay attention to local politics for that reason. In many places it is not as co-opted as NYC.

At this early stage I would caution against throwing the baby out with the bathwater in regards to Mamdani and give the guy the benefit of a doubt. It could very well be that he is the same old and/or an agent of some sorts but it could also be that it isn’t that black and white.
And I would also caution against just blindly following or accepting anything that Trump and company do or say just because it is very likely that he has (at least had) very decent and good plans and ideas and a good heart. In that vein I would also caution to not dismiss anything Mamdani or others like him (that might be similar lefty and full of lies) have to say or rebell against completely out of hand. IMO there is a chance that many Americans including many lefties see that there is something seriously wrong going on and that includes what Trump is doing. The most obvious being the Israel question. I would bet that this might be a key why Mamdani won in the first place in New York. Also, you can’t blame thoroughly blinded lefties all too much for seeing a “despot“ in Trump given how he speaks and acts. Lefty people often don’t think that deeply and respond emotionally towards superficialities. And surely Trump isn’t making it hard for ordinary people to think that he might be thinking that he is a genius king or something.

I've been playing around with AI getting it to synthesise the ideas of a few people and explain reality from the synthesised position to see what it comes up with.

Just wanted to point at that many of these radicalized leftists aren't sentient human beings. Of course they don't think deeply and are emotionally driven, because they are emotional reaction robots, they don't "think" at all, not in the sense that me or you do. They also operate as one unit, so they can shift general consensus and create the illusion of free thinking individuals doing X, as though all of these free minds are coming together to support X.. its all an illusion. Throughout history I can guarantee almost every conflict that has risen, if you root it down, has involved OP's being steered a certain direction by 4D. They are bioweapons.
Do I think that this legitimate good person got in to power in the most financially affluent city and one of the most influential places on the planet? Absolutely not.
Much like our new PM, Mark Carney, he seemingly came out of nowhere, had a ton of money backing him, had a meteoric rise that is almost entirely fabricated, and now sits exactly where he was meant to sit. After the honeymoon period where all of these deranged sycophants talk about how change is coming, and things are going to get so much better.. nothing but the continued descent in to hell, endless government spending, more climate change nonsense, easier pathways for immigration, etc
Considering what we know is going on, why do you think this type of thing has just "slipped through the cracks" and been allowed? They are rigging elections everywhere.
I hope I am wrong and you are right, I personally just don't see it. It seems like something that is way too big of a deal to not try to inject one of their guys.
