Sufism is the esoteric core of Islam, similar to the Esoteric Christianity described by Mouravieff and others. I suppose either of those or other true esoteric/spiritual traditions can be a good way forward if it resonates with you on a deep level.

What is being used the most on this forum as far as doing the Work seems to be a combination of Esoteric Christianity, Gurdjieff's Fourth Way and some of the Toltec Teachings as described by Carlos Castaneda and others.

the word Sufis is enough to put Imagination in reference to our true purpose. It is not imagination in the common sense of the word, it is not a question of fantasy. It is a question of a fundamental function, ordered to a universe which is absolutely, provided with a perfectly << objective >> existence and of which Imagination is in its own right the organ of perception.

What is your basis for thinking that? The etymology of "Sophia" is Greek for wisdom, or Knowledge, whereas "phosphorus" comes from "light-bearing" or "illumination":

Ryan, in your post above you did a good job connecting sufism, sophia, phosphoros, wisdom, knowledge and pure light.
Let me just say that all languages are connected, and these concepts are connected on the level of their meaning-essence, not only on the surface.

If you want to dig deeper, we can talk about it more. All languages are one language if you can see how they are connected. The original language/the language if the birds/the green language never disappeared. It is understood by those who can see through them.

Many ways can be ways forward. Whether or not they're good depends on where they lead and the perspective of the person walking the way.
