Here is another interesting analysis by Alex Krainer. Basically that the US and Iran were working behind the scenes and everything is intentional trash talk on both sides, and used by Trump to expose the Israelis and remove all the pressure the neocons were putting on him. He let them go ahead and get exposed, and he knew that Israel was only doing this to get the US involved, so he always planned a fake involvement negotiated with Iran in advance. He even postulates that it was the US that gave Iran those terabytes of information on the Isreali nuclear program in advance to give them the ability to neutralize the Samson option if it came to it because that was the only card Israel could play. His basic thought was that even Trump could not be so incredibly stupid to think the US getting involved would be a good idea, and the Arab states would have been raising a lot more hell if they thought the attack was real. He said it was also a stealth message to the Chinese that the US can be dealt with and they are moving away from the EU / UK / Israel axis.

Again could be wishful thinking, but does explain a lot that appears to be inexplicable at surface level.

However interesting that sounds, its hardly unlikely that Trump or anyone else from the US would work with Iran behind Israel's back. There is chance for some unspoken unofficial mutual understanding (not agreement) of some people in the Us and some people in Iran in the style of "lets try to solve this, before lunatics blow everything up", but nothing more than that. US is too much under the paws of the same groups as Israel that something like that could be even possible.

Yeah I tend to agree. If they were working early on I doubt that decapitation strike would have occurred, unless Israel truly went rogue. And I just do not believe that no matter how many people say it. The US literally had to fuel Israeli aircraft on those first attack runs. There had to be deconfliction, sharing of intelligence, use of US satellite systems etc. If there was a deal, it was at the last minute to come up with a face saving gesture so that Israel did not eventually use the Samson option because they could not sustain a war of attrition or even a massive barrage of Iran's most recent missiles on infrastructure targets like the desalination plants that could make it as if Israel had been nuked in terms of livability.

The other interesting thing I read today was this series of articles by Tore Maras that basically claims it was not the nuclear enrichment they were after as much as the crypto mining operation embedded within those facilities that were allowing Iran to evade sanctions and potentially attack the crypto ecosystem itself (like spending large amounts of saved bitcoin at once, messing with hash rates , etc.). Again, I can see that as being ONE advantage to bombing the facilities, but I cannot see that as being anything close to a primary benefit. And to be fair, she had said on a livestream that for Israel the primary reason for the operation was to divert from Gaza and for the US it was about cutting off Iran's natural energy resources from China.

I think the US heeded the Iranian report because they had IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE of the involvement of both US and Israeli intelligence in the plot. Sounds like Trump is once again 'willing a deal into being' by virtue of announcing it. Did they ask Hamas about it? Anyone in Gaza? Any Palestinans? Of course not. I think the US heeded the Iranian report because they had IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE of the involvement of both US and Israeli intelligence in the plot. It's really difficult to know if that happened since our intelligence has been so corrupted historically. Of course, we all know that Israel is more than capable of something like this.

A well-informed source revealed to Fars News Agency on 26 June that Israel may have used depleted uranium (DU) munitions in its recent airstrikes targeting sensitive sites across Iran.

Initial tests conducted at the impact zones reportedly detected traces suggestive of uranium, although further technical analysis is still underway to confirm the findings.

Depleted uranium, a dense metal used in bombs and tank shells to penetrate armored targets, is not classified as nuclear weaponry, but it poses serious long-term health risks due to its low-level radioactivity and toxic chemical composition.

International health organizations have warned that DU exposure may be linked to increased rates of leukemia, kidney damage, and anemia – especially in children living in contaminated areas.

The US military's use of DU weapons has been linked to massive increases in cancer rates in Iraq following the US wars on that country in 1991 and 2003.

Military experts are currently examining debris and munitions remnants from bombs dropped by Israel in Iran during the recent 12-day war. More detailed findings will be released once final lab results are available, the source stated, cautioning against premature conclusions.

This would not be the first time Israel has been accused of using prohibited weapons. Human rights groups have previously condemned the Israeli military for its use of white phosphorus and suspected DU-based weapons in past operations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, raising international concern over repeated violations of international humanitarian law.

On 6 October, the president of the Lebanese Association of Social Medicine stated that Israel had been bombing the southern suburbs of Beirut using banned bombs with uranium warheads.

President of the association, Raif Reda, called for “collecting samples from the bombing sites and sending reports to the United Nations so the world can witness the bloody, criminal history of the Zionist enemy,” according to statements reported by the National News Agency (NNA).

Following Israel's massive bombing campaign against Lebanon, the Syndicate of Chemists in Lebanon (SCL) warned that “the use of such types of internationally banned weapons, especially in densely populated Beirut, leads to massive destruction, and their dust causes many diseases, especially when inhaled.”
