Actually the discussion should start from the fact that possibly 42 percent of Israeli population are psychopaths (as C's have mentioned). But I understand this is not possible or realistic in the current paradigm either. Discussions about one-state-two-state solutions have mostly turned into empty talking points by politicians whose countries are supporting Israel while they are paying lip service in order to distance themselves politically from the future backlash (but the one you suggest should be moral starting point, yes). Thus the only viable solution is that large segment of world's population (especially in Western counties) sees that there's something fundamentally wrong and twisted with the nation of Israel, because the way it was created invited this psychopathic mass, and that Western governments are protecting them because they see themselves as kindred (and/or because they're being blackmailed). This is more or less what Israel will end up humanity to eventually understand (at least partially) by it's own actions, I think.

One of largest rallies in Israel since start of conflict follows general strike to press government to stop military action
Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators have gathered in Tel Aviv to call for an end to the war in Gaza and the release of hostages, one of the largest demonstrations in Israel since the start of the fighting in October 2023.
The rally on Sunday evening was the culmination of a day of nationwide protests and a general strike to pressure the government to halt the military campaign. “Bring them all home! Stop the war!” shouted the vast crowd, which had converged on the so-called Hostage Square in Tel Aviv plaza – a focal point for protesters throughout the war.
The Hostage and Missing Families Forum, the initiator of the day of protest, estimated that about 500,000 people joined the demonstration in Tel Aviv – a figure not confirmed by the police. “We demand a comprehensive and achievable agreement and an end to the war,” said Einav Zangauker, mother of hostage Matan and a leading figure of the protest movement.
