Mass Shooting at Bondi Beach, Sydney, targets Jews celebrating Hanukkah

  • Australian authorities said, Naveed Akram is pakistani national first.
  • There are some news that he is Indian national and Indian govt. offered to help Australian govt. in finding truth.
Looks like the father was Indian, born in Hyderabad, emigrated 27 years ago:

Police are currently investigating why the father and son travelled to the Philippines in the weeks leading up to the attack. They arrived on 1 November and left on 28 November, the country's immigration bureau confirmed to the BBC.

Sajid travelled using an Indian passport, while his son used Australian identification, the authorities said.

Citing security sources, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) said that the pair travelled to the island nation to receive "military-style training", but officials have not been able to confirm those reports.

Thinking further, it's not out of the realms of possibility the guy deliberately injured himself (if so, he must have some knowledge of injury/how to inflict it) - psychopaths will take advantage of a situation.
Playing to the TV cameras afterwards with blood still on your face (i.e. not cleaning it up), suggests deliberate intent to use the injury to "sell the message".

Arsen Ostrovsky: Ten commandments for social media activism

At 26:20 he says „It’s very important to use visuals [pictures], to get your point across“, then proceeds to show social media posts conveying Palestinians as the bad guys, and continues into how to shape posts to get maximum traction.
Then goes onto make some „humerus topics“, and that posting humorous things are good to show „(Israelis) are not robotic“.
Then goes onto „fake social media posts“ by „Palestinian activists“.
Then makes jokes about The MOSSAD.

Interesting fellow

The image is AI generated. You can tell by the text on the shirt being illegible/garbled, his ear being garbled, and the car in the background being a mangled mess of car windows/side panels and wheels.

When investigating emotionally charged events, it's important to keep grounded.
A lot of things get posted on social media for clicks/attention, and a lot gets posted by intel agencies/trolls to muddy the waters.
These AI generated things are happening more and more (from what I can see). Everything now has to be checked and double checked. In my opinion, Australians aren't as good at questioning (everything) as many US natives have become. This type of thing definitely muddies the water!

Oh no! More confusion. This time about the city of Hyderabad. There's more than one of them - apparently. Here's the google search:
Apparently over 1000 miles separates them (1665 km and 1034 miles).
There are cities named Hyderabad in both India and Pakistan. They are two different cities that happen to share the same name.

Hyderabad, India
The most prominent city with this name is in India.
  • Location: It is the capital and largest city of the state of Telangana, in south-central India.
  • Significance: It is a major urban, economic, and technological hub, often called the "City of Pearls" and known for its IT and pharmaceutical industries.
  • History: It was historically the capital of a large princely state ruled by the Nizams before its annexation by India in 1948.

Hyderabad, Pakistan
There is also a significant city named Hyderabad in Pakistan.
  • Location: It is located in the Sindh province of southeastern Pakistan and is the second-largest city in that province.
  • Significance: It is an important commercial and industrial center, known for textiles, sugar, and cement mills.
  • History: This city was founded in 1768 and served as the capital of the Sindh province until the British moved the capital to Karachi in 1843.

In this screenshot from the original interview, you can see that he has two streams of 'blood' running beneath his nose. He's also wearing a dark grey shirt which has words on it that you can just barely see the tops of. He also has blue or green eyes.

In the low quality photo from X, you can see a guy sitting on the ground wearing a similarly coloured t-shirt but nothing else is of much help. But notice the red flags in the background and the SUV with the strong pattern.

Flags and SUV.jpg

In this photo that was turned into a meme you have all five together: the flags, the patterned SUV the grey t-shirt and the two streams of 'blood' beneath his nose and blue or green eyes. The 'blood' looks redder, i think, because it hasn't dried yet.

Why would you get AI to include the flags and the SUV?

I had a look at a number of the uploaded videos from a variety of vantage points. What's odd for me is no one captured where the incoming fire came from or whom did it (so far I've seen). This footage shows near the start of the attack (shooters moving to position on the footbridge) and continues past the point both are gunned down (5:55s mark). The incoming fire starts at about 3:45s and comes from the left of the bridge (from footage vantage point).

If less than 10 mins was the full span of this attack, its more than likely someone was positioned to take them down and already waiting ahead of time. Given footage of the incoming fire is absent; but every other possible angle was captured, this "sniper" (at least one) was likely hidden from view.

My guess is the back of this pickup truck / ute is where this incoming came from. We see the shots come from left of the bridge and most other spots - just seem less likely to me.

It's also worth noting the range of fire from the bridge (red lines) is over 80m or more. I've heard reports up to about 40-50 people were shot. Even for the most trained, 40-50 people shot in less than 10 minutes from more than 80 metres away is a feat. So I'm guessing someone was at close range doing most of the damage... Possibly was the same individual from the back of that pickup truck / ute.

On this drone footage above as a still-frame you can see what might be that black SUV (bottom left).

What I’m also interested in is what is this wooden box at the back of the white pickup / Ute? Might fit someone inside to be at close range to the people targeted. While shots came from the foot-bridge could someone positioned inside with a silencer make most of the lethal shots?

These are still from footage taken during and right after the bridge shooter were gunned down.

Also they did include face painting during that event.

I'm going to guess he either injured himself or faked the injury. The chances of a bullet grazing this specific guy are ridiculously slim.

Something that caught my attention is an info that I posted here, about two pedestrians fighting one of those two guys. This action takes place earlier than all the rest: this "scene" is surrealist: two elder people successfully fighting one of those two guys, around a car, doors open, with an Isis flag on the shield.

This footage left me perplex, because:
  • We have been provided with endless high res footages, of other footages - "cartridges" popping up.
  • This scene took place prior to all the "sequences" that we know of. This sequence suggests a reasonable "range" of events. Many "analysis" that people carry on (angles, bullet sounds etc), would be applicable to this sequence which takes place prior.
  • This footage suggests a very early moment. And one of the guys is already down on the ground. I mean, what is this?! Usually, the starting point of those "attacks" never feature an early "failure" like this one.
  • Overall, the available footages don't show the exact starting point of all the "attack". We don't know how it unfolded.
  • And why didn't the medias emphasize about the Isis flag? We hear about that, one week later, but it was obviously present.
I see this dashcam footage as "revealing". I tried to stick my finger on something. Its late appearance, and the content of it.

Anyone been able to ascertain where the drone footage come from- whose drone is/was it? The news articles all say ‘drone footage appears to show…’, and that it’s been verified, but nothing about who, where and why.

I looked up requirements for flying drones in Australia; unless it’s for commercial reasons (business or promotional purposes) for which you need a Remote Pilot Licence and approval from council and landowners, generally the rules are that you cannot fly over populated areas as a hobbyist.

Image where someone is painting blood on him might be fake...I went on AAP FactCheck and thought well...what they say is fake might not be fake and then I saw the comparison they made between the 9 news interview and that picture where the shirt is clearly different. Now, I thought again that the picture could have been AI generated afterwards and the original was different?

The police usually uses drones for all kinds of operations, in this example to observe attackers and to coordinate ground units. So it could be the police. I think that is the most probable case...

This is what the mother of the suspected killer has to say
Verena said she was unable to recognise her son from photographs taken at the crime scene and insisted she could not believe he was involved in violence.

"He doesn't have a firearm. He doesn't even go out. He doesn't mix around with friends. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, he doesn't go to bad places. He goes to work, he comes home, he goes to exercise and that's it," she said.

Verena also added that Naveed had been unemployed for about two months after losing his bricklaying job when the company he worked for became insolvent and had been actively looking for work. "Anyone would wish to have a son like my son. He's a good boy," she said.

Officials are still working to establish the motive behind the attack, which has shaken Australia and prompted heightened security around religious sites nationwide.
