Time alteration dream

Hey everyone,

I had a strange dream last night, now I've had funky dreams, really strange and emotional nightmares, but this one has been one of the strangest ever and first time I ever have one that felt quite like this one.

Now, most dreams with me tend to have a narrative component, and all events tend to fall in a linear progression of events that either make or don't make sense, but it all moves linearly in time, so to speak.

But last night, my dream had the strangest sensation of being outside of time, or me having a full perception of time being a dimension I could look through in a physical way, if that makes sense.

The way it was experienced was, I was holding a picture frame, that I was unpacking from a wrapper. And as the events in the present were taking place I could see, when I looked to my left, the corresponding events in the past taking place, that is, someone assembling the picture frame, someone putting the picture in the frame, packing it, but these events in the past were directly affecting what I was seeing in the present, as if the present didn't exist until a past had taken place.

But also, the past could not exist, until something in the present had taken place. So both events were directly affecting one another. And there was a dynamic nature to what I was seeing, so if I stopped unwrapping the frame, then the past would change, or stop happening.

I realize the dream itself sounds rather simple and straight forward, however the sensation was that of time being a dimension I could transcend and navigate at will as if it were distance. Past and present weren't then and now, they're were more here and there. I hope that makes sense.

Has anyone ever had a time alteration dream as such? It's probably one of the coolest dreams I've ever had.

Huh! I've never had a dream like that before but when we look up at stars in the present, we're seeing the light they emitted anywhere from a few years to millions of years ago depending on the distance. I've always been amazed that the present light we see is from the the stars past, and if only I could bridge the distance, would be able to see the star in its present form and as well. If that makes sense. Sounds like you did that. Very cool!

Quite an interesting dream indeed, sounds like you got a direct experience of how the illusion of time and space works.

I also had a few dreams reflecting the same topic although under a somewhat different perspective, which made me really aware that If everything happens at the same time, here and now, then it becomes obvious that anything we do can impact and alter past and future in the blink of an eye.

As an example, In one of my dreams I'm going upstairs and walking along a corridor all the while I'm becoming more aware I'm dreaming. I know where I'm going and what awaits me at the end of this long corridor when suddenly I realize that this situation already happened, that it belonged to the past. At this point I'm getting curious about such a conundrum and decide to turn around wanting to remember more closely what happened in the past with said situation, only to realize that, as strangely as it sounded to me atm, it still didn't happen since it actually belonged to the future situation I described above.

Exactly, the decisions are always ours, as we know, but the filters imposed by our beliefs system -which btw are there to enable experiencing whatever we planned as lessons in 3D- make it appear like everything IS separate.

I find your dream very strange, and it reminded me of an incident that I perceived at the level of consciousness.
Over a period of two months, I had a completely overstimulated nervous system accompanied by anxiety and panic. Nevertheless, I continued working in my practice, where each patient appointment lasts 30 minutes.
In all the previous years, time during a treatment always passed very quickly in my perception of time—my first check of the clock would typically be after about 20 minutes, and I would be surprised at how swiftly the time had flown by.
During those two months, I suddenly noticed that my first glance at the clock came after just one minute. At first, I was puzzled and found it unusual that my sense of time was no longer there. This persisted for weeks. Time had slowed down massively.
And even stranger is what’s happening right now. When I take my first glance at the clock, sometimes 40 minutes have already passed. It truly affects every treatment, and it has no connection to my level of interest or the effort required in the therapy.
I have the feeling that time is being arbitrarily slowed down or stretched. A very strange thing.

Rings a bell. Over a month ago, I had a dream with Gimli in a Lord of the Rings setting and me navigating in a port in a big city. Kind of like a reality within (the port) and without (Lord of the Rings setting). As in a bubbled onion layer. It was taking place at the same time. I feel like I'm also in Gimli's reality at the same time. At some point, Gimli holds his ax and hammers between the realities to "pierce the veil".

I don't know how else to describe it. It was happening at the same time, but it was like two different places, but events in one place influenced the other one. It was not time altering, but reality altering if that makes sense. Only that it felt like two different timelines.

Anyhow, my 2 cents!
