Iraq is 61% Shia and the population is around 43 million. It remains to be seen what this in reality means other than a support for Iran. Yet, support from Iraq is worth a lot instead of having Iraq supporting the Epstein coalition.
Killing the top Shia religious leader, Khamenei was not the smartest decision the US/Israel came up with, at least if they really thought it would lead to regime change. It could lead to regime change just not in Iran. A Spanish reporter reported live that non-Jews were not allowed to enter shelters in Haifa unless they paid $50,000. Later, on the same Spanish television program, it was claimed that she had retracted her statement, which was false. I think you need to distinguish between the mentality of the British who created and maintained the British Empire and those today who are post-Empire born people. If you are not aware, British schoolchildren these days are imbued by their teachers with a sense of post imperial guilt similar in the way that white American schoolchildren are taught the guilt of white privilege.
In spite of being a colony, the people of Hong Kong enjoyed a high standard of living with Hong Kong being one of the most successful economies in the world. Indeed, Hong Kong exerted such a strong pull for mainland Chinese people who lived under Chinese communist rule, that many were prepared to risk their lives by trying to get to Hong Kong for a better life. I know this because I have met and spoken with with Chinese refugees who fled to Hong Kong. Indeed, I went to school with two boys who had a Chinese mother and a Scottish father who had been posted to Hong Kong with the RAF, which was where he met their mother. Their mother had escaped from China with her family by swimming across the strait that separated mainland China from the island of Hong Kong where Chinese launches with searchlights were machine gunning refugees in the water. Whatever you may think of the British, these people obviously felt it was better to live under British rule than under Chairman Mao's communist rule.
My understanding was that the British had been gifted the island of Hong Kong in perpetuity but the part of the colony that resided on the mainland where there was a physical border contained the main water supplies for the colony. This part had been leased to the British and the lease was fast running out, which was why the British Government entered into negotiations to transfer the whole colony back to Chinese sovereignty. I think the British did their best to obtain the most beneficial terms they could for the people of Hong Kong since, no matter what you may think, they felt that they owed a responsibility to them. As a safeguard, they also created a special category of British citizenship for Hong Kong residents - quoting Wikipedia:

If, as you say, the British did not care about the people of Hong Kong post their transfer back to Chinese sovereignty, why would they have bothered to have introduced the British National (Overseas) passport. Indeed, it has been a life saver for many Hong Kongese who have fled oppressive Chinese rule by emigrating to Britain. Indeed, the current Labour Government is continuing to address concerns for the security of Hong Kong citizens - see below:

There were rumors that some special brigade of the US army was transferred to Britain, and that they will try to seize a strip of Iranian coast in order to control the Straight of Hormuz. But its too fantastic to be true IMO.
NASA site reports fires around the world almost in real time. For example there were two large fires in Tel Aviv last evening. And of course many fires in Iran. Very interesting.
Watching several podcasts on the Iran-Israel/USA conflict and someone mentioned that Russia may place Iran under its' nuclear umbrella, so that any nuclear attack on Iran would be considered an attack on Russia, for now this is in the realm of rumour.
It may be a judo move to force a rethink to anyone crazy enough to think of using a nuclear weapon (USA. Israel) on Iran. Trump may be desperate to want a quick end to the war, and NetanYahoo, well, NetanYahoo.

Last night, there were few reports of Epstein coalition strikes on Iran (possibly due to internet problems in the republic). The attacks targeted the IRGC Air Force headquarters and Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, Bandar Abbas, and the Isfahan Optics Industries facility in Isfahan.
