Do some French people see what's going on? Yellow Vest Protests

« Il entend, mais il n'écoute personne » : le blues des conseillers de Macron -- Sott.net

in the corridors of the Elysée floats a painful wave in the soul, a little tune of "all this for that". It is time for the first departures in the presidential cabinet, which sees some figures of this unusual ecosystem making their mark. Between the endless Benalla affair, the unsolved polls, the communication failures and the feeling that the "master of clocks" no longer has control over his agenda, some high-ranking advisors wonder whether the sacrifices made in this supposedly expanding job were well worth it.

Others resent him for not following their advice more. "He hears, but he doesn't listen to anyone," says an old friend. The intense fatigue does not help the bruises on the soul and the almost generalized burn-out. Some advisors have been with the President since Bercy, more than four years, almost a five-year term. Like his predecessors before him, Emmanuel Macron has reached this stage of his term of office where he must renew his close team to replace tired soldiers with fresh troops.

Pillars on the way out

It is a classic: two years after his election, François Hollande had already replaced half of his cabinet. But a challenge for Macron, a very emotional one, who established a powerful relationship with the handful of advisors who brought him to power, nicknamed "the Mormons". A short while ago, one of them, the political adviser, Stéphane Séjourné, announced his imminent departure to lead the European campaign. On Wednesday, it was the Director of Communications, Sylvain Fort, who announced his resignation by the end of the month, as reported in our newspaper. Who will replace them?

Bonus for the General Staff and Senior Officials?

The information needs to be confirmed, but if this is the case, it seems that each general (5 stars) has received a bonus of.....take a breath!..... 50,000 euros last November. It would be interesting to know the position of the basic soldier, the one who risks his life on the ground and whose salaries are always paid a few months late and the "fire bonuses" that are always accumulated but never regularized.

@Gwelan (too) That's true. This text was published in the Official Journal:
Décret n° 2018-965 du 8 novembre 2018 portant création d'une indemnité spécifique de haute responsabilité | Legifrance
Most of the newspapers have taken up the news but we are so overwhelmed with information (true or false). For example, the newspaper "La Tribune":
Armées : les officiers généraux vont toucher des primes de responsabilité
The Chief of the Defence Staff, General François Lecointre, could receive a bonus of 50,000 euros per year, including 31,500 euros in variable remuneration. For Chiefs of Staff (Land, Navy, Air), the maximum premium is 43,000 euros, of which 23,000 euros is variable. A total of 61 general officers are concerned by this bonus.

It is a decree that will make a lot of noise. Especially in the current context, the budget of the armed forces has just been cut by nearly 800 million euros for the financing of external (OPEX) and internal (OPINT) operations. In itself, this bonus is not scandalous, but the publication of the decree on Saturday seems to be a very bad gag. The government risks being accused of buying the silence of general officers on the budget notch announced last Wednesday. Because this decree establishes, in favour of general officers and according to the level of responsibility of their employment, a specific allowance of high responsibility.

Thus, the Chief of the Defence Staff, General François Lecointre, could receive a bonus of 50,000 euros per year, including 31,500 euros in variable remuneration. For the Chiefs of Staff (Land, Navy, Air) as well as the Major General of the Armed Forces, the Chief of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic and the Chief of General Control of the Armed Forces), the maximum bonus amounts to 43,000 euros, including 23,000 euros as a variable part. A total of 61 general officers are covered by this specific allowance.

How this bonus is allocated

According to the decree, this indemnity is composed of a functional part (fixed) and a variable part. The fixed part, which is paid monthly, takes into account the responsibilities exercised in the design, coordination or conduct of public defence policies, the particular constraints and the level of supervision relating to the jobs held. The variable part is paid annually. It takes into account the results obtained in the performance of these functions, paid annually, in one or two fractions, and not automatically renewable from one year to the next.

The amount allocated in respect of the fixed part of the specific high liability allowance may be reviewed every three years and, where appropriate, at the time of any change of employment. The amounts of the fixed and variable part of the specific high responsibility allowance allocated to non-group jobs (Chief of the Defence Staff and Chiefs of Defence) are determined by the ministerial remuneration committee.

The latest “yellow vest” marches began peacefully but degenerated in the afternoon as protesters threw missiles at riot police blocking bridges over the Seine.

Officers fired tear gas to prevent protesters crossing the river and reaching the National Assembly. One riverboat restaurant was set ablaze and a policeman was wounded when he was hit by a bicycle hurled from a street above the river bank.

Lots of chaos yesterday. It seems there are more, and more emotional reactions, as to the peaceful orderly demonstrations. Also lower vibrational types or chaos opportunist. I would go as far to say paid urban mercenaries, (not military types,) but drug addicts and the such, as like weaponizing of the poor.

But this is just hunch, as I've yet to travel to and witness for myself what the sense, and or the vibe, or gut feeling's might be experienced.

France’s Yellow Vest movement staged mostly peaceful anti-government rallies on Saturday for the eighth weekend in a row but the protests ended with a small group smashing down the entrance to the ministry of the government spokesman.

Most rallies are peaceful and it is a pity that this is not shown as much as the few acts of violence that happened here and there. One of the problems is that demonstrators and police officers do not play by the same rules: police officers have the right to fight, demonstrators, even if it is only a question of defending themselves, do not have this right. This is not a fair game!!!!! :-)

@Gwelan (too), Indeed, once again the media focus on the violence of demonstrators (or supposed demonstrators!!!!!). This morning, I know who is behind the violent images seen in Toulon:
A Toulon, un commandant de police décoré filmé en train de frapper plusieurs personnes
The police officer filmed is Didier Andrieux, divisional commander, "currently acting head of the 400 police officers in Toulon uniform", said the same source, confirming information from "Var matin". Andrieux, after 34 years of service, is part of the promotion to the Legion of Honour on January 1, 2019.
"Promotion to the Legion of Honour on January 1, 2019"
???? Wow! He got the big head!
On the video broadcast on social networks and visible above, we see him in his clothes but bareheaded, punching a man in the face with his fists against a wall, before other officials step in.

The hit man, who was not wearing a yellow vest, was in possession of a broken bottle according to the source close to the file. He was arrested and taken into police custody on Saturday evening for contempt, the Var police told AFP. In the video, Andrieux is then seen hitting a yellow vest demonstrator against the hood of a car, before briefly attacking another demonstrator again.

In an interview in Nice Matin, Andrieux explains that he first sent a blow to the man's hand, "to make him release the shard". Then, "I give him two more blows, because I don't know if he let go of the shard". The police officer asserts that he knows this man, "who is a repeat offender and has nothing to do with yellow vests". According to the prosecutor, the man has been known to the courts for about ten years, particularly for acts of contempt and rape. He was arrested, taken into custody, and will appear Monday in Toulon
No proceedings against the police officer

For the public prosecutor, joined by the AFP, the police officer acted "in proportion to the threat" by neutralizing "breakers". "There was an insurrectional context before and after these videos, in which it was impossible to arrest someone without violence, and he acted in proportion to the threat," added Bernard Marchal, public prosecutor in Toulon, who did not initiate proceedings against the official.

Concerning the intervention against the hood of a car, "here again the context strongly nuances the images" says the prosecutor. The yellow vest hit by the policeman was masked a few minutes before and had just tried to grab a bottle, and Andrieux asserts that it is "the arrest of a man who was rebelling". He was also arrested and taken into police custody. A second masked individual, his brother, was able to escape the police according to the prosecutor.

The Var prefecture reported that Saturday's demonstration left 2 police officers wounded and one demonstrator wounded. Seven people were arrested and taken into police custody following these incidents on Saturday. Via Twitter, the Prefect of the Var congratulated the police officers who "knew, with courage and determination, how to restore order and avoid depredations in Toulon".

Andrieux participated in all the operations to secure the yellow vest demonstrations in Toulon and is well known to the demonstrators, according to the prosecutor, who adds that "some people attacked him violently on Saturday".
Did this prosecutor and Prefect also get the Legion of Honor? Probably...

Police violence in Toulon: the police officer had already been punished for violence 2 years ago
"Act 8" of the "yellow vests" in Toulon: what we know about the blows inflicted by a police officer on demonstrators

The police officer filmed hitting several people on the fringes of a "yellow vest" demonstration on Saturday 5 January in Toulon had already been punished for violence two years ago, reports France Bleu Provence, confirming an information from the Parisian.

The commander in question has been in service for 34 years and is part of the promotion of the Legion of Honour on 1 January 2019. Two years ago, he was already sanctioned by his hierarchy for punching a colleague in the face. He would have hit a major in the face who had a fractured arch and nose. He had not been prosecuted at the time, he was simply given a warning.

On the video broadcast on social networks on Saturday, January 5, the officer was seen punching a man in the face several times before other officials interfered. The man hit, without a yellow vest, was in possession of a broken bottle according to several police officers. He was arrested and taken into custody. The Prefect of the Var announced on Sunday 6 January that he had referred the matter to the IGPN, the General Inspectorate of the National Police.

And what will be the IGPN's response to the 231 police violence reported by David Dufresne over the past month on his twitter account?

You, the oligarchs who dépeçaient France, the Republic and our democracy which was quoted as an example in the whole world, are very careful because we will become your worst nightmare...

Stepped into a coffee shop this cool afternoon (34*f = 1*Celsius), and talked to a few locals observing the big screen antics of French MSM.

One contact indicted that the continued TV repetition, over, and over again (of yesterdays activity's) with the pro, and con's of the right, and the left. And those that sit in the middle.

Friend says, imagine with this area of old people, (that have little to do), and sit all day fixed to the screen watching, hearing, this confusing narrative. Stimulating perhaps, confusion, and fear, anger, coupled with a uncertain anxiety of which side to cheer.

Sounds very much like the state's, only backwards. :umm: Such as life, 2019.

This was probably inevitable, just to stir up some S#@t. Sounds like order's from the Zionist.

French PM says new, tougher laws on unauthorized protests coming in wake of Yellow Vest clashes
Published time: 7 Jan, 2019 19:56
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has said that the government will crack down on unauthorized protests and toughen punishment for rioting in the wake of anti-government Yellow Vest demonstrations which began in November.

The new measures will significantly toughen punishment for people who participate in riots, Philippe said, while adding that it was still “necessary to preserve the freedom” to demonstrate in France. Those who want to protest peacefully should not be punished, he said.

The announcement comes as part of new “public order” measures unveiled by the government after the Yellow Vest protests resulted in violence against police officers and government buildings.

Philippe’s office said in a statement on Monday that the government would take “a very firm stance” against the “continued unacceptable violence across the country.”

So knowing how Machiavellian they are... surely they paid people to be violent during the manifestations, doing bad things as we can see, and then voila! a law about controlling manifestation to "protect" people and civilian stuff. How convenient but we are like rats, we smell cat here!

What is appalling about the Prime Minister's position is that it presents absolutely no other form of response to this movement than more severity and repression. We are faced either with a profound misunderstanding of the urgent need for genuine social dialogue, or even worse, with a pure impossibility/incapacity to conduct it. Whether it is will or incompetence, this, in any case, totally belittles the claim of these leaders to be considered as true statesmen, which the population as a whole will not fail to notice.

Masks are dropping:

Liberal leftist Gérard Leclerc - a journalist who worked for 20 years for France 2 TV channel, and a former president of LCP (French parliamentary channel): "Rallies must be outlawed, and thus, as soon as 3 people gather, they can be arrested." Put all the YV in prison, that's what they've sunk to.

A call for donation in support of policemen has been set up. Comment from journalist Jean-Yves Le Gallou: "You couldn't be a*sed to call for donations during 2005's riots in the suburbs, or to support firemen who are constantly assaulted in the suburbs, but here, you're supporting the police when it's used against the French people. Pathetic."

"Philosopher" Luc Ferry wants the police to shoot at the protesters:
"They should use their weapons at last. Look, enough is enough! We're the 4th military power in the world, it should be able to put an end to that filthy business!"
