First Texas was struck this morning... now Oklahoma struck this afternoon. Both Texas, and Oklahoma were warned in the earthquake forecast video.

there was a geomag storm yesterday

which i think reached KP index 6, the above shows 5, and whilst it doesn't seem to have been as disruptive as the previous - if we can attribute it to them, i don't know for sure - there were auroras spotted quite southerly as before, social media was very busy.

Earthquake Hits Major Volcano Site
By Alëx Elliott Eruption about 7 hours agoUpdated: April 08, 2016 13:09

There was a major earthquake on the northern edge of the Bárðarbunga volcanic craters at around midnight last night.

The quake measured 4.2 on the Richter scale and is therefore the largest quake to have hit the famous volcano since it stopped erupting in February last year.

According to Bjarki Fries, a natural disasters specialist with the Icelandic met office, the earthquake emanated from 3.5 kilometers underground. Around 15 aftershocks have already been measured, the most powerful of which was a 3.5 quake at 01.00 this morning.

Met office earthquakes specialist Martin Hensch told RÚV that there is no evidence of lava movements or of any eruption activity connected to the earthquakes, but that the situation will be monitored carefully. There were two quakes in the same location on April 3, measuring 3.4 and 3 on the Richter scale.

The recent eruption at Bárðarbunga, often known as Holuhraun, lasted from late August 2014 to late February 2015, and despite not affecting aviation or physically threatening any human settlements, it caused dangerous levels of pollution around Iceland and produced more new lava than almost any other eruption in Iceland since the Vikings first arrived.

related? maybe not, but that it's on an industrial estate i find interesting. Could be a meteor, could be a rat chewing on a wire. Just for consideration since the earthquakes speak to increased activity.

More than 70 firefighters tackled a huge blaze which broke out on an industrial estate in Tottenham.

London Fire Brigade said 10 fire engines were sent to the fire at a single-storey bakery unit in West Mews, near West Road, at 6.20pm.

A spokesman said no-one was injured.

He added crews fought to prevent the blaze from spreading to neighbouring units until it was brought under control at about 1am on Sunday morning.

Station Manager Charles Hanks, speaking from the scene as the fire was still raging, said: “Crews were confronted with a large fire when they arrived and are now working hard to confine it to the bakery and stop it from spreading to any neighbouring factory units.

"There is some fuel stored on site but crews have isolated the supply and it is not involved in the fire.

“The fire is producing a lot of smoke so we are advising residents to keep their doors and windows closed as a precaution while it is going on. Thankfully though no injuries have been reported.”

Police were also called to the scene at around 7pm and closed roads in the area.

Firefighters remained at the site throughout the night.

Pictures from the scene show huge plumes rising over north London.

IT manager François Hérissé, 47, took a picture from his home of the smoke rising.

He said: "We first noticed a smoke and the very strong smell. I took the picture from my balcony and closed all windows."

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage but an investigation has been launched.

MANSFIELD — A small fire on the exterior of Wendy’s restaurant on Copeland Drive caused minimal damage Thursday night.

Fire Capt. Richard Fiske said the blaze was confined to the soffit of the building with minor extension to the roof.

The cause was an electrical problem, he said. [the time one we had a bakery]

Foxboro firefighters were initially called to help.

Norton firefighters covered Mansfield’s station.

The call came in at 7:49 p.m. and firefighters returned to the station at 9:05 p.m.

And some comments from Space.com
GEOMAGNETIC STORM: On April 7th, Earth crossed a fold in the heliospheric current sheet, plunging our planet into a region of space filled with "negative-polarity" magnetic fields. This sparked a G1-class geomagnetic storm and bright auroras around the Arctic Circle. "Suddenly, the sky exploded in color," reports Janne Maj Nagelsen,

Many people have never heard of the heliospheric current sheet. It is one of the biggest things in the solar system--a vast undulating system of electrical currents shaped like the skirt of a ballerina: picture. Earth dips in and out of it all the time.

NOAA forecasters estimate a 55% chance of continued storming on April 8th as Earth slowly exits this region of space. High-latitude sky watchers should remain alert for auroras. Aurora alerts: text or voice

April 8, 2016

A large blast occurred in the early evening hours at Sakurajima Volcano in South Japan.

The volcanic eruption produced plumes of ash reaching multiple kilometers into the sky. The ascending ash produced impressive displays of static discharge lightning.

The lightning is produced by friction between the hot billowing clouds of ash, and the colder moist air surrounding the volcano which resides near the ocean in South Japan.

Magnitude 5.9 Earthquake Strikes Off Indonesian Coast - Disaster Agency

http://sputniknews.com/asia/20160410/1037771645/earthquake-indonesia-coast.html

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Indonesia, the country's National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) said on Sunday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The earthquake took place in the Indian Ocean, over 60 kilometers (37 miles) off the coast of Bengkulu, a province in Indonesia's southwestern Sumatra island, the agency said.

While the earthquake's epicenter was recorded at 16 kilometers below ocean surface, the BNPB has not issued a potential tsunami warning.

The shocks were felt by many Sumatrans, the BNPB said, adding that no damage to buildings has occurred.

Indonesia is a part of the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire quake zone, where about 90 percent of the world's earthquakes occur.

There had been several more or less 30 earthquakes above 3 magnitude, where was the one of 5.4, in which many felt it or registered due to the seismologic alarm set up in Mexico City.

From the national seismologic (mx) http://www2.ssn.unam.mx:8080/ultimos.html

10 km al ESTE de S PEDRO POCHUTLA, OAX, (MEXICO)
Date: 2016-04-10
Time: 02:11:21
Depth: 31.0
Magnitude: 5.4

I just read there was another one today (In which I did not heard the alarm(?), the one from sunday I did, and it scared more than the earthquake, though)

8 km al SURESTE de S PEDRO POCHUTLA, OAX, (MEXICO)
Date: 2016-04-11
Time: 04:51:16
Depth: 37.0
Magnitude: 5.0
8 km al SURESTE de S PEDRO POCHUTLA, OAX

USGS registered one today quite near the ones from above.
M 4.7 - 22km NW of Santa Maria Xadani, Mexico
Time 2016-04-11 09:51:24 UTC
Location 16.099°N 96.184°W
Depth 75.8 km

This was the alarm heard in Mexico City, people had complained about it, but I think, is better to get used to live with it?, that way, when a bigger one strikes one would know what to do without being too nervous, or in panic. The seismic alarm sounds around 1 minute before the waves of earthquake strikes. I did get scared though, is the first time I hear it, I used to live in another place, and where I live now there are several public schools. The alarm is not at every place, so, I suppose I am lucky.

More information about this last earthquake:

A strong earthquake epicentred in Myanmar shook parts of Bihar, West Bengal and northeastern India on Wednesday, forcing people out of homes in panic.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The US Geological Survey said the magnitude-6.9 quake struck at a depth of 135km. It said the quake’s epicentre was 396km north of Myanmar’s capital, Naypyidaw.

Germany’s Research Center for Geosciences said the magnitude was 7.1. India’s National Centre of Seismology (NCS), said the earthquake occurred at 7:25pm.

The quake, centered in the jungle and hills northwest of Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-biggest city, was felt in the eastern Indian states of Assam and West Bengal.

The tremors were felt in Assam’s Guwahati and Kaziranga area, where the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge are visiting during their royal tour of India.

In Kolkata, people rushed out of office buildings and houses. Metro services were halted for about half an hour. Movie halls suspended shows.

Tremors were felt in the gallery of Eden Gardens, where Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians are playing an IPL match. The tie had yet to begin at that time.

People also reported feeling the quake in Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, 484km (300 miles) from the epicentre.
Odisha’s coastal areas, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Balasore and Bhadrak, felt the tremors.
This came three days after six people were killed and dozens injured in a 6.6-magnitude quake that struck South Asia on Sunday. It shook buildings and sparked panic in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to S0 it was the solar wind/coronal hole which kicked the KP index up to 5 last night - which isn't that high, from what i understand - and yet the auroras have been pretty vivid, and it also may relate to this quake mentioned, as S0 says in his most recent posting; he also says to be alert for any power outages/electrical issues, as usual.
