The realist in me thinks this declaration is a gift to Joe Biden to allow for additional security and military support at his inauguration in case anyone tries any funny business. The place will be so heavily fortified it might as well take place in a bomb shelter. On the other hand, an emergency declaration would give him the ability to seize emergency powers and mobilize said force as his own private army under the right circumstances, but I've lost all hope at this point so...surprise me.
A: They will go too far as usual and all will come crashing down.

I must be more attuned to this network than I realized as I was going to post the following article and point out that Merkel and the other international leaders objecting to the crackdown on Trump is because their fellow US compatriots are overplaying their hand and not only risking exposure of themselves, but all the global elite:

The above comment from the Cs, in addition to the first one at the top, I believe has done much to fuel the speculation in this thread. Frankly, I wonder what exactly "the boldness to do what must be done" really means? No one inquired just what that boldness would look like thus leaving it to our imagination and speculation. A: Very likely and will lead to martial law.

I think it means that Trump wants to ensure that the inauguration will go without a hiccup, methinks he probably does not want to end up being blamed for god knows what on that day. He also probably sees the writing on the wall about what's about to happen, and maybe it's his last attempt at stalling it.
I caught this from the FBI, Particularly interesting is that, they're making this a nationwide effort to prevent riots and what have you, much like with covid, they're creating the notion of the need for a national set of emergency powers that will then be used in perpetuity. Much like the terrorism scare of the early 2000's there will be a need to remind people "why they need us!" and so a several events with high emotional impact could be in the cards.

A comment on the idea of signal to noise ratio.
Yes, the signal is faint and the noise is a loud roar. But, what do we really have that we can count on as signal? Not much! I think this might be similar or related to what Collingwood was saying about history (I could be wrong). We have press that distorts and spins; MSM that only shows what they want in the light they want to show it. Oh, and we have Youtube videos! We have bloggers and alt-news sites laden with clickbait. The radio has some conservatives and bible thumpers beating their gums incessantly. We have very little information we can actually see with our own eyes. We have a thousand contradictions and a thousand little hairpin triggers. In fact, the subjective feelings we have may be just as valid as the torrent of 'information' that enters our minds ears and eyes both subconscious and conscious. I think it is almost that bad or maybe worse.
There is very little signal.
It has certainly forced me to just keep my eyes open without anticipating...there is literally almost nothing 'real' to go on! There is he-said-she-said; my source at the local fried chicken drive through who was a navy seal for the cia with inside connections to the white house maid AND he has an Aussie accent!!!; the mole who lives inside the walls of the pentagon bath room... 8D Conjecture looked at from an alternative reality into a reverse-osmosis looking glass....and on and on.
There is very little signal.
Just wait and see... !
And even then, the signal will need to be interpreted with chicken bones thrown in a circle inscribed on a dirt floor to decipher it.
So, I don't mind the silliness and levity what with so little to really go on. Or the fussing and nit-picking required to hammer out the distortions.
