We did not do our usual "V for Vendetta" night this year since we are still mourning the loss of Pierre and I don't think anybody felt like watching it without him. However, I did notice an article published on substack by some doctor I think, praising the movie as an almost exact metaphor for what we have been living through since 2020.

V for Vendetta is a film that has aged well. I'd say it's the best work from the Wachowskis. No doubt it predicted our modern dystopia very well, and that's a testament to writer Alan Moore's original story. Given that he wrote Watchmen and From Hell also, that's a fine legacy.
Yeah, I wondered about that a while ago, and checked the dates of previous elections. Since all happen on the first Tuesday in Nov, there's more or less an equal share of dates between the 2nd and 8th Nov.
