a strange game i found on a message board

good evening.

i often browse messages boards and tonight i found a bizarre and cyptic browser game was posted called " _http://mooosh.tv/ " - my wife remarks that it reminds her of the william gibson novel "virtual light."

it requires the install of unity for your browser. (more about unity here: _https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unity_(game_engine) )

unity is light weight, about 10mb, and is safe.

you chose an integer as your 'name' and appear in the game as a line or a stick to other users.

the 'game' if you want to call it that is very minimalist and weird. you traverse using the arrow keys and can look up and down using page up and page down keys or the K key or I key.

and you just wander the odd designs and often, there will be messages on the screen. this game is riddled with unnerving sound effects and the messages can be rather crude and vulgar at times.

the game interacts with you in some ways through texts on the screen, giving you clues and warnings.

i found it amusing and bizarre... at times creepy. a good little time waster if you're bored and cruising the web for kicks.

the title of the game above is the link to the game if your not sure how to access it. i'm not sure what else to call it.

enjoy!

It's another project from independant game developer Zak Ayles.

Why would you want to play a game like this? I wonder if your dream in your other thread and playing these games are somehow connected.
Thinking along the lines that the sound effects might be used to carry subliminal messages to influence the players in some way ...

Hi Mina's Tirith

In my dream thread, the terror was from the gore and the subjugation of life to build or portray something obscenely perverse out of nature and the most disturbing part of it, was the feeling it was forced into my like some type of projection.

This is an isometric browser game that I found. Tbh, Im glad I posted here as I got an informative response from Tigersoap as a result.

It was a fun time waster for an hour I think the creators don't have any nefarious intentions aside from creeping out its players. It's very small scale too, like a project more so than release.

But it's an interesting thought... Maybe there should be a video game section on the forum, as they are so plentiful and weird these days. An industry capable of building massive profits, projects that cost many hours and people to make. Who knows what could be involved for some teams to get funding? What they may have to include onto content to appease company share holders, etc

Hi Zin,

Cool game, thanks for sharing, I also think it's just a fun time waster and nothing sinister.

I'm a big fan of Virtual Light as well, one of my Gibson is one of my favorite authors.
