A visual companion to SOTT glossary/concepts project

I'll give up trying to make them 100% esoterically correct as I am not able to do it (yet :D) but if anyone has suggestions, let me know.

I wouldn't change the current ones if I were you. They are a visual representation of your current understanding. You would always remember your thought processes while you created these, and therein lies it's value to you. As your understanding improves, you can make new ones, and these ones can always serve as a reminder of where you were at this point in time...I think. In my opinion, there is no such thing as perfect art. There will always be room for improvement. The trick is to know when to stop, before it becomes a burden. Perfectionalism must be managed, otherwise it manages you.

EDIT: Perfect art was maybe the wrong way of putting it, subjective / objective would be more accurate. If you make progress towards objectivity, these ones would serve as reminders of your development at this point. But what an I blabbering about art for, I don't recall you calling it art once. Why don't you add those explanations you mentioned in your 1st post?

Hi Erna,

Thanks a lot for reminding me this.
That's what I would think usually but with these illustrations, somehow I forgot all that and just started to stress out about being objective and such, which should not be forced but strived for instead osit.
I think I'll tweak some bits there and there, I like to oscillate between mistakes, happy accidents and "conscious" composition, until it clicks.

Well, it's subjective art ;) after all.
The explanations would be from the Glossary itself, not something personal.

hey Tigersoap, just wanted to say this is great work! i think the idea of a book or printed poster series is great, perhaps as you said with corresponding glossary definitions...

and if you continue to feel as though you're losing momentum, remember the good possibility that you can aid in others' understanding of these principles, and perhaps in a more powerful way (for some) through the use of imagery. who knows, something may click for someone by looking at these that didn't click by reading the material... and no doubt your own understanding will be increased through this process as well, osit...

can't wait to see the final versions!
