Perhaps because they were simple and to the point. What made you feel that they were militant?
Yeah, I agree.Mr. Premise said:There are some flyers advertising SOTT, however, with themes like "Psychopath Rule the World" and stuff. Advertising SOTT is a different thing from advertising the Cassiopaea site, I think.

Forcing exposure to information that people do not ask for is STS, because it is determining what the needs of another are. If people involved in esoteric topics ASK for your opinion, or for resources you may know about, I think then it would be appropriate to list resources, books, groups, etc. that you have found helpful to your own personal understanding. But randomly putting up advertising in places isn't actually taking anybody's needs into consideration but your own. Maybe this is something you should look into more.
I don't necessarily disagree with you. Do we stand up and speak out? And, if so, is that a violation of free will to simply disseminate information... seems to be a valid question, IMOluke wilson said:Endymion said:luke wilson said:Sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, why am I feeling like Gimpy's responses to virtualme was militant?

I suppose because they were simple and to the point/abrupt. Is the word dry? I guess it was just a subjective impression. There was no acknowledgement of his wanting to I don't know, help, contribute, be of service etc in Gimpy's response (be it a bit gung ho and misguided as per the rules but still noble gesture - to do something rather than nothing). It was more, and? so? you don't understand, etc. Anyways, that is just how I felt. I guess it is do with interpretation of language.

I dunno... posting flyers seems rather passive, similar to posting SOTT articles on Facebook. It is ultimately up to those people exposed as to whether or not they want to read and digest the information.
