AmazonSmile & FOTCM Donations

Thanks to all who set this up.

I purchase a good majority of the QFG recommended books on the U.S. Amazon website; it makes good sense that a small part/portion of the purchase price will be donated to the research group/charity that prompted my purchase(s) in the first place... This in addition to QFG being the most hard-working research group/charity on the planet, worth more than 'their weight in gold/salt' IMO. :)

Thanks Scotty.

One thing I noticed is that because of cookies Amazon does show items already that were already in the cart before when using the QFG specific Amazon site which was nice.

Just as a reminder, a very easy way to help the Group:

I just put something on eBay and I noticed they have a somewhat similar program where an eBay seller can donate proceeds from the sale directly to their favorite charity.
I used their search tool but I didn't see QFG or FOTCM listed.

More info is here: _http://givingworks.ebay.com/about/

Thank you sir.
I'll wait some days before I go in to change the ebay listing and add direct donation.

Did you ever get accepted in the eBay Givingworks program?
I have searched a few times now in their directory but with no luck.

I did just use the invite feature (https://www.paypalgivingfund.org/charity/web.us/npregrecommend1.jsp) using info@paleochristianity.org as the contact email address.

No, we applied, but haven't heard back. We'll follow up and see what's up.

I've been using AmazonSmile with FOTCM donation for awhile now. Just curious, but are you able to divulge how much in donations you received in 2016?
It's the only way I can afford to donate right now through necessary purchases for business, Christmas/birthday, etc.

Glad there's this option; maybe bringing this subject forward again will introduce this to other Amazon purchasers on the forum.

I'm not sure if they can divulge how much donations they've received in total for the year, but if you want to calculate how much you've personally raised for FOTCM just look at all of your eligible purchases, calculate 0.5% of the total price for each one, and add the numbers together. I've been looking on Amazon to see if there's a way to find out how much money I've raised in total without having to do that, but I can't find an option to access that information.

We can share some info. In 2014 we received $203.45 in donations from the Smile program. And in the first half of 2015, we received $332.82. Haven't received figures for the second half of 2015 yet. But considering it's only .5%, that's not bad so far!

Thank you very much for letting us know. Every little bit helps!
Hopefully as the forum grows, along with awareness of the Smile program, so will donations from this source.

Thanks everyone for the heads up. QFG is now signed up for this. You can purchase on Amazon and have a portion donated to QFG by visiting this link: http://smile.amazon.com/ch/30-0204116
