Ha ha...I sensed it too. the third post was the giveaway.

I hope that's not trouble i smell... ;)

Of course, we could be wrong.

first off shijing, you are a girl, therefor biased in defending gay people from the start. without actually understanding the inner workings of the male mind you openly burst out into a brick wall that guess WHAT.. only girls and gay people understand. am i wrong? no. i am entitled to my own opinion .only a man could understand how sick it is therefore I find your objections petty at best. Secondly I am a free agent, spreading knowledge when and where to the best of my ability, knowingly upsetting people if I believe its right, in some cases its the only way to be upfront and brutal about things otherwise if unmatched are accepted as norm. maybe its not " me that is wrong" and more your lack of testosterone in this matter. (laugh).

Hi turtlemayhem,

I want you to understand that you are skating on very thin ice. Your post above is very disconcerting. Stop posting and read the Forum Guidelines to understand what this forum is all about.

you didn't get it
i recomend you to read again ... in fact thats one of the reasons of why i threw the last post away
is because i wanna talk the reason why i posted it in here , not because i need compassion of anyone i need answers
emotions hurt me for so long throughout my life until i learned how to get ride of them , though i lost such skill, but thats a different story

maybe as a psychopath i should kill myself not to hurt people i thought that already, but wait we have a paradox right here, dont we......

thats not an answer.

Dont go to psychopherapists, they only try to tell u stuff the so called "normal" working mind thinks of and you wont be able to comprehend. its written text written by people who have never suffered from these things and dont understand. best piece of advice, seek out someone with the same kinda problems who may have cured themselves and they will tell u how it is and what to do. goodluck

And I feel homosexuality very disconcerting lol. thats my opinion. im neither religious or dictating how people should live their lives but merely stating my opinions in a grown up manner. no violence no bullying just opinions. the reason i came to this forum in the first place.

I understand people may oppose my opinions and I am cool with that. but be cool when I dont like yours too :P If not this becomes unfair and stands against everythng this forum is about.

Peace and love

Hi turtlemayhem,

If your objective for joining the SOTT forum is " no violence no bullying just opinions. the reason i came to this forum in the first place." I'm afraid this environment won't suit your need.

Here's a link to a thread dedicated to "opinions" that might help you understand why we try to minimize "opinions".

It might be better you read this thread before posting extra messages.

Your post above doesn't come across as very adult like. As for stating your opinions, Belibaste has already given you the link to the topic for you to read.

turtlemayhem, a quick click on my profile would have shown you that I am indeed male, and I stand by everything I said to you in my last post. Please do read the 'opinions' thread that has been suggested to you. It would also be courteous of you to create an introductory post in the Newbies thread as requested, giving us a bit of background and letting us know how you found the forum.

Well as soon as turtlemayhem was directed to read the Opinions topic, he/she almost immediately made a post in that topic. Such behaviour is not tolerated at all.

This is the "rage" of an abnormal mind.

This is a personal attack on a forum member.

I suggest the moderators ban you from the forum.

Wrong assumption.

In fact, you ARE wrong.

Yes, you are entitled to your opinion. However, on this forum, opinions don't count for much and if people come with opinions, we send them elsewhere.

In other words, this is not the forum for you. You were not invited here to "spread knowledge" and upsetting people is not how we do things. We also are not about "belief" We also prefer posts that are more coherent and less confrontational and insulting.

You managed to pretty much ruin your chances of participating with this extraordinary group of people all in one short paragraph. Amazing.

Interesting.

You know what they say about a person who protesteth too much.....

Turtlemayhem, I don't think you have a clue what this forum is about!

You come in here with your opinions and beliefs and no knowledge about any of it. Just opinions, which don't amount to a hill of beans here.

Hopefully, turtlemayhem, you'll find yourself a good therapist that can help you.

Turtlemayhem,if you are still lurking, surveying the results of your efforts, I would like to say that there's a serious flaw in your logic that gays are simply making a choice. Just because something happened for you a certain way does not mean it is so for everyone else. Judging by your mannerisms, I feel you probably aren't representative of the average hetero-, homo-, or bisexual person and therefore make a poor example upon which to build a hypothesis.

There is an overwhelming body of knowledge that contradicts your opinion as well, including studies of both identical and fraternal twins.

This reminds me...I remember seeing a really interesting broadcast of the television show 60 Minutes March 12, 2006, entitled, "The Science Of Sexual Orientation" (synopsis at _http://tinyurl.com/60minutes-Adam-and-Jared) which looked at 9-year-old twin brothers, Adam and Jared, who were completely different from each other.

CBS 60 Minutes episode synopsis said:
"The bedrooms of 9-year-old twins Adam and Jared couldn't be more different. Jared's room is decked out with camouflage, airplanes, and military toys, while Adam's room sports a pastel canopy, stuffed animals, and white horses. "

As I had mentioned in an earlier post, I believe that gays are born that way and my current working theory on those who switch later in life is that they are in fact a form of bisexual.

However, we are in the early days of trying to understand these human dynamics and we have much to learn. I think it would be prudent to maintain an open mind and form only working hypotheses, as future research could throw much of what we now assume out the window.

I wanted to also mention that peers of my teenaged daughters (twins BTW) seem to be really experimenting with homosexuality and lesbianism. For a while, and it could still be this way, it was cool to be gay and several of my kids' friends starting acting gay, as if they were trying it out. Most reverted back after a couple of years.

Thanks,
Gonzo
