Attack in Nice: truck driver kills 84 people during July 14th fireworks display

This attack also comes after France at the NATO meeting said that it did not see Russia as an enemy, but as a partner. France likewise wanted to end the sanctions with Russia and has said NO to the TTIP. I suspect Hollande was again caught wrongfooted by the deep state and told to come in line with the rest of the vassals. The message being: Play nice or we will unleash further terror (pun intended).

Yes. When I read these words by Hollande last week

https://www.sott.net/article/321787-French-President-Hollande-Russia-is-a-partner-not-a-threat
"NATO has no role at all to be saying what Europe's relations with Russia should be," Hollande said on July 8 as he arrived for an alliance summit in Warsaw. "For France, Russia is not an adversary, not a threat."

my first thought was there was going to be another attack on French soil. And yet, I did not expect this.

Such a horrible, insane attack, so inhumane and especially designed to bring fear as close to home as possible for every french citizen. Families taking a walk by the beach in Nice on the biggest French holiday. The message is the crash of any French Revolution against the Western overlords? What will be mostly in the news, and it is coming out already, is about the "evil muslim terrorists" and the further divide in the french society. The worst is yet to come... and I don't feel at all prepared. I am feeling so numb and so exhausted right now, I am unable to take it all in. All those children, their parents, all the innocent lives that are now lost for no reason at all. We had a really bad sleep last night, me and my husband and only when we got out of bed this morning we heard the news, and it is just unbelievably inhumane.

Re: Attack in Nice: the prefecture asked residents to stay cooped

I don't know why we would say this is an atypical terrorist attack. If it is not typical, it is at least logical for extremists to plan attack on national holiday of France. since it is symbolic. It makes a forceful communication. A "tragic paradox" what Donald Tusk has said. The USA has faced two recent attacks by radicalized loners, the San Bernardino, and the Florida shootings. But for what has happened in France it is pure callousness and not only pure selfishness. I see that it is a symbolic attack on a country, and the comparison can be made to 9/11. But 9/11 was an attack on two towers in the early a.m, before the country had woken up. What's worse to me is the details, the nature of these killings. To drive a truck into people on the evening of the celebration and fireworks show. 2 kilometers it hurled on through the crowds, it is said. These were not people protesting, or wanting to provoke anything. The former Libyan government shot on protesters to protect the state, to keep order. So we understood that atrocity in some causal way ( even though the US government did not ). But how can the french people understand what has happened? The BBC shows some videos, and you can't help become emotional over it, and how can France ever forget this?

According to the Nice Matin, a local newspaper, the driver is a 31 yrs old male from the city, of Tunisian origin. They say that he had "weapons" and grenades in the truck, and was shooting at people while driving. They insist that he was alone. They annonce 80 deaths. Given the particular racism that Nice is known for, it's easy to imagine how the narrative will evolve from now on.

Heartbreaking. 80 victims. And one man did this killing while driving?!!! It's so frustrating to realize that many people will come to believe the "lone terrorist shooter" story.

Well, in this situation it seems that it happened as they say. What the background of the driver is, is another story.

The French intellectual, Alain Soral, ostracized media, predicted the attack on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice two months in advance.

What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to all the victims and the people who love them who'll now be missing them forever.

According to the RT article Tristan posted earlier (this one https://www.rt.com/news/351086-panic-nice-france-crowd/ ) there was a "former CIA officer" (and we know you never really quit working for the CIA right) that primed us with the home grown terrorist meets lone gunman theory, arguing that anyone in France could turn into a terrorist at any moment now. What a way to justify more draconian security measures for everyone:

The attack in Nice follows the pattern of other recent terror acts in Europe and was more likely inspired by the activities of terrorist groups than organized by them, former CIA officer and international lawyer Jack Rice told RT. He pointed out that this makes it extremely challenging to prevent such kind of attacks.

“There was a time when attacks were taking place directly from the likes of ISIL [Islamic State] or Al-Qaeda or others and you could follow the link, you would see what there were doing and there was a commanding control structure,” Rice said, adding that a “paradigm shift” is the real problem that both French and US authorities encounter.

“What you are seeing now frequently is attacks that are based on inspiration,” he argued.

“The problem with that is this new paradigm resolves with a lack of connection, with a lack of connecting the dots,” Rice added, saying that traditional way of investigating doesn’t work in these cases.

The word Greenbaum also comes up in my head, wonder if that's a possibility.

Yep, predicting terror attacks in France has become a rather easy thing to do.

This is an act of a sick mind, the beast behind the wheel, I can not believe, condolences to the families and friends of those killed.

Hmmm devaststing. Connection to Tunisia makes me wonder if this negative energy had to be utilized like before. Stay safe all in France!

This is such terrible news, again another attack on France.
I find it quite incredible that the driver killed so many people with the truck and shooting while he was driving, makes me think there was another person in the truck.

If you look at the bullet holes in the truck's windshield in the image at the of top of this RT link, the vast majority of the shots appear to be fired into the passenger side...

There are also reports that the numerous weapons allegedly found in the back of the truck were fake guns and only one actual live grenade.

And as of this writing, the home of the person who the truck was registered to has just been raided by police, although they have not confirmed that the individual whose house was raised and the truck's driver are the same person.

The Daily Mail and the Mirror are typically reporting it as an ISIS terror attack :headbash: I found a video on the Mirror's article which shows how they shot at the driver, I can't embed the video for some reason, it's about halfway down the page under the heading "Moments suspect is shot dead by police" warning: it may be upsetting for some people to watch. Here's a link to the article

Yes Joe it's true, but he says that a attantat very spectacular will happen right after the football championship of Europe. Under false banner of course. In general, Soral, political analyst is quite good, but it is no longer invited by the French media. Putin invited Soral in Moscow from June 6 to 10 at the forum entitled "New era of journalism: farewell to the international media," which brings together experts from 30 different countries media.

I watched the video, honestly you can’t tell anything. How do we know anything they say is true. Maybe the truck was remotely operated and the person inside was already dead.

Meanwhile in the cosmic world: Massive hole in the sun...

From fr.sott.net which quotes reports/testimonies from other sources (google translation):
https://fr.sott.net/article/28592-Tragedie-de-Nice-un-enieme-attentat-sous-faux-drapeau

Several witnesses spoke of gunfire into the crowd:

"We were on the boulevard watching the different shows when a white truck came up and ploughed into us. We fled to the beach, many people fled the Promenade des Anglais and they sped towards the sea to dive in it. Behind us, we heard shots. Apparently firing into the crowd. "

However, the "crazy driver" has been described by a witness as extremely awkward:

"After watching the fireworks with her daughter on the Promenade des Anglais, Majid was on the beach when he heard "a loud noise", reports the site BFM TV. The witness reflects on RMC: "I see this white truck came to rest 20 meters from us and a man appears on the truck window.."

According to Majid, a passerby tried to stop the mad rush of the driver that left at least 84 dead. "I think a passerby was trying to open the truck door and then the driver got out, holding a gun. I was close enough to see the weapon. The passerby was trying to jump on the truck to snatch the weapon from his hands."

Majid described a clumsy assailant: "I think he could not managed to remove the safety of his weapon (...) That's when I tought 'these guys are clowns', he had his gun and he just could not shoot. He was trying to escape the man who jumped on him and shoot at the same time. "

[…] That's when the policemen intervened and neutralized the terrorist (according to MP Eric Ciotti). Then the driver was shot by a policewoman.

Another witness:
"We heard screams, people pushing, and gunshots. We felt like we were being shot at. We ran to the sea to escape the shootings"

Another witness:
"Why were there no barriers? Policemen only arrived 20 minutes later."
[…]

OH and now “anonymous” chimes in. It’s a sick game the ptb play. From all angles, it is insidious and diabolical. Makes me so mad.

EPIC RANT: The Government Will Not Protect You From Tractor Trailers
Published on Jul 15, 2016
As the Problem-Reaction-Solution (Nice edition) plays out as expected, it is time to remind ourselves: The government is not your daddy and it will not protect you from the boogeyman. The government creates the boogeyman to scare you. Giving more power to the government in the wake of every tragedy only incentivizes them to terrorize you further.

The dialectic has been shifting through the years. First terrorists where muslim radicals from other countries, then terrorists became French citizens of north african origin who have been "radicalized". Now, there's no need for a terrorist to be religious or "radicalized", anyone with the wrong origin can become a super killer. Such ethnic generalizations are what lead to problems when the economy collapses and when "tension" becomes civil war with internment camps and everything.
