I admit I opening the site without thinking - it just didn't register what it could have been. I don't think web addresses themselves are always a great indication of what a particular site is about - perhaps it should have been obvious in this case, but to me it wasn't. I often open deactivated links here on the forum just to see what they are about. I think it would have been good to have a notice about what the site is in the original post, particularly given the nature of the site.

You're absolutely right Shane, and I apologize for not doing so. I often have a difficult time remembering how grossly unaware of their surroundings most people are...and that kicks me in the rear now and again. I wind up just standing there, with a dumb look on my face, going "Really? REALLY?"

To me, it really is frustrating. An incredibly wonderful thing has happened. A huge, bulletproof, extremely well hardened, tool of psychopathy has just been wiped from the face of the Internet, and its owners left trembling in fear... and hardly anyone even understands what I'm talking about.

I do the happy dance alone ;D

Oh I didn't mean it like that hon! Everyone is where they are on the awareness teeter totter. The "External Consideration" thing really is on me...and I blew it because I got excited. I was hopping all over the house calling and emailing people, etc.

I should have been aware of the fact that not everyone is aware of the facts regarding pedophilia.

Yep, plus we don't really want search results for that site returning the forum as the top result, sooooo - would have been good to mask the site name from the get go. Yep, it's great news - and it's also another example of how each of us has our specialties and bases of knowledge and they often don't overlap, which is what makes us such a strong team when we work together.

Well I didn't read it like that the first time, but then on a second and third pass I saw it differently and thought, '...well, she's right!' :D

But in any case I've been doing a lot of reading on psychopaths lately (not pedophiles so much) and after a while it seems that it takes a toll on you. I can imagine that one of the few reliefs is seeing these creatures exposed. I can appreciate your excitement over this, and I just wanted to say thanks for all you do.

Got'cha...my bad. I never even occurred to me that someone wouldn't know what I was talking about.

Probably none of the members here had a clue. That's why it would be a good idea to explain what it is and that no one should go there to see what the deal is about.

"B******r.org" has actually been taken down, the server pulled, no IP assigned, etc., so no one can get to it, but I did give the wrong URL, and "b*******s.org" still has an IP routed, although the site is not up.

I have never heard of those sites before. Has this been discussed prior to this thread somewhere on the forum? Or is it a new item on the table?

The hacked site was hosted on a Russian server and contained a vBulletin 4 board (with a chat system and a sort of gallery).
