I actually feel sorry for the animal having been trapped in this Halloween ambush.

Very doubtful that a Halloween decoration was deliberately set up to harm wildlife. If the moose had actually incurred injury, I don't think the vid would have been posted. Plus, the homeowner now needs to replace the wrecked porch railing.

It was very fortunate that the animal apparently did not break a leg in its fall. No sane person would think that was humorous.

If you carefully watch the morphing of the moose’s head and antlers, there are several odd effects, as well as the boards of the deck don’t even sag when that “moose” steps up on it, and walks across the deck.
On average, a Bull moose, can tip the scales at around 1,000 to 1,500 pounds (453 to 680 kg).

In real life, a bull moose would very likely have attacked the offensive figure, especially now, in full rut, hormonally it’s all “Fight”, no flight, or freeze!
As well, springing up like that, is almost anatomically impossible, it’s a feline motion, not a full grown moose, in my opinion.

I suspect it’s an A.I. Creation.

I’ve seen several of them on Facebook with different critters, the raccoon one was rather well done, except the “ghoul” walks itself back a few steps, that was the give away!
It’s gonna get harder and harder to weed through these “created realities” but it’s coming down to a point where we can’t believe anything that we see!
My 2 cents.

Stop raining on my joke parade! :-P

I get your point that the joke is on me for believing it was real! But, maybe we should just enjoy a funny and save super serious analysis for more super serious situations - at least through Halloween! 🎃 And what's that saying, "Fool me once . . . ." ;-)
