I didn't mean to sound condescending so apologies but recognise how you see it that way. Many will testify (and from my own experience) that giving up alcohol enables one (almost a prerequisite) to be far more productive, develop self awareness and grow. Of course it is your choice but given how rapidly times are changing, I think we all need to "start swimmin' Or we'll sink like a stone" :)
