Not being able to find a thread that covers bioweapons, chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, radiological weapons, EMP weapons, directed energy weapons, electromagnetic weapons, psychotronic weapons, mind control weapons, etc, what do you think about having a thread? Of course, it is not only geopolitics. Sometimes it is also science about their function, but on the balance, it is probably overall more geopolitics.

The inspiration for the thread was an RT documentary about the Russian discoveries in Ukraine of the US-sponsored bio laboratories in Ukraine, following the beginning of the Special Military Operation in February 2022. The film came out in April 2023, but even if not new, it is still worth watching:

Apart from the above film, below are various search items, with links to SOTT search results within Title, Summary, Text, Comment, and also some forum shortcuts. When on the forum, and searching for two words, it works better, I think, if one puts quote marks, but sometimes without quote marks gives what is needed. As an example, if a sentence in a text reads biological and chemical warfare, then a search for "biological warfare" will not catch it, but biological warfare will.

The number in brackets in the following list, signifies the number of hits at the moment, so it can change. At the end, there is a short explanation of how I used the search function in the forum. When you open one of the results, it is not always easy to find the search string on the page. I've been very interested in DARPA patents, the effects on life of wifi, cell towers, etc. So I'm grateful for this thread you've started, Thorbiorn!

I've been reading up on 'information medicine', and have used it to counteract intense disturbances coming from outside myself which I've come to detect emotionally and in minor physical sensations; sometimes not so minor.

I've gotten so far as using some of Dr. Erich Koerbler's symbols from 'Painting the Energy Body' and from a more recent book, 2020 publishing, to counteract the mental and physical effects that may come from a few sources in the post above by Thorbiorn. Of particular help is a symbol for electrosmog. The direction in the book in brief are to have the symbol on a source of wifi as the information from the symbol protects us. I don't know how, but it really does, according to sensing as well as dowsing. I'll attach it at the bottom here.

Remote Healing

So The creators of these various hurdles have their counterpart, I think, anyway, in radionics, Bach remedies, homeopathy, The New Homeopathy (as Dr. Koerbler called the use of symbols which he used for balance), meditation, singing and all the branches of 'information medicine'.

A few years ago I learned Raymon Grace, senior American dowser, had gone to a Canadian farmer's home when asked how to deal with high levels of arsenic in their well water, and 'fixed' it. Verifiably by later water testing, or possibly, to keep an open mind, balanced by some other occurence in nature called in by Raymon Grace - or by nothing that Grace did at all. But Grace has been dowsing a long time and has other verification.

A lot of my direction to experiment comes from the transcripts and discussion here, too. I knew from reading that HAARP and cell towers were a problem, cell towers first, then from transcripts, the role of HAARP in mind control and the cementing that control as we move to 4D eventually. There have been suggestions for surmounting hyperdimensional interference via emotional hygeine, keeping unshakeably positive that are so important.

The line between weapons listed above and hyperdimensional interference blurs.

I do dowsing and information medicine experiments with willing friends and the few other dowsers I know, to check out how things are working. A big motivation is learning how sensitive our dogs, cats and horses can be. They get hit with these energies. Nature and wildlife get hit. I've learned a lot from our cat, who is probably alive only because I started twigging to cat sensitivies when our other cat, her brother, died. We just didn't recognize what his behaviour of excessive grooming meant in his body language, nor did I correlate it with what even then I thought of as strange interferences.

Below is a CIA document disclosed to the public now which (purports) to reveal the types of paranormal scientific experimentation and 'psychic warfare' that went on in the Soviet Union. On dowsing in particular, through research, it was shown that we could diagnose ourselves in all ways successfully. I know this thread is not on paranormal or parapsychology, but I feel new/old healing techniques are a realm that can be a counter-balance to the without-consent experiments we are exposed to.

What a can of worms, I'm finding umpteen amazing CIA perspectives, FOI'd, on dowsing and paranormal, including on the 'psychic warfare front'.

If I've wandered off topic, I expect and hope someone will tell me.

My reasoning is that understanding the battlefield laid out pretty thoroughly in the lead post helps us be prepared. Hopefully, without paranoia, just as we look at diet, exercise and other practices, given this seems to be a peak psychic warfare era from all observations.

There's a shorter overview link below, from 1985, and it contains this: "The delightful irony of the Soviets' parapsychology extravagance is that it began as a response to the perceived threat of U.S. progress in the art. Several years ago, the French reported that U.S. psychics had communicated with the nuclear submarine Nautilus via mental telepathy. The following report gives several examples, that illustrate once again, that the US is a law unto itself, meaning that it follows laws as and how it pleases it to do so.

From 5 to 8 March 2024, the 105th session of the Executive Council of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons will be held in the Hague, the Netherlands.

This organisation was established in 1997 following the entry into force of the Chemical Weapons Convention. One of the initiators of the Convention was the Russian Federation, which signed it in 1993 and ratified it in 1997.

Russia destroyed all of its chemical weapons stockpiles in September 2017, and this was done ahead of schedule. The destruction took place under total control by the OPCW and inspectors from Western countries, primarily the U.S.

The complete elimination of chemical weapons stockpiles was officially confirmed at the 86th session of the Executive Council by the Director General of the Organisation.

According to OPCW timelines, the United States should have completed the destruction of declared chemical weapons stockpiles in 2007, but despite its economic capacity, it did so only in 2023, twice postponing the deadline on the pretext of financial, organisational, and technical difficulties.

At the same time, the destruction was supervised by limited inspection teams, which did not include experts from Russia. The United States still retains highly toxic reaction masses left over from the destruction of toxic agents at the Blue Grass (Kentucky) and Pueblo (Colorado).

Until recently, the U.S. found unaccounted for chemical munitions in their artillery arsenals on a regular basis, which they destroyed unilaterally without timely notification to the OPCW. Such cases occurred in Anniston (Alabama), Hawthorne (Nevada), and Fort Greely (Alaska). On these facts, the OPCW did not make any claims against the U.S. about violation of Article III of the Convention.

At the same time, the destruction of chemical aerial bombs undertaken by Syria prior to its accession to the Convention has still not been recognised by the Organisation and appears in the so-called 'Syrian chemical dossier'.

U.S. munitions left behind have been found in Panama and Cambodia. On Iraqi territory between 2003 and 2011, the United States identified more than 4,500 aerial bombs, artillery, and rocket chemical munitions, containing mustard gas and sarin, some of which were disposed of locally without OPCW authorisation, while others were taken to the United States, their fate remains unknown.

In addition, until 2018, the United States specified 460 metric tonnes of unspecified toxic substances in annual announcements, about 2% of the total stockpile. According to our information, these are compounds belonging to the class of amididofluorophosphates, better known to the American public as 'Novichok'.

Washington retains significant interest in the use of chemical riot control as a warfighting tool. In 2007, the U.S. adopted a military-wide charter on the use of non-lethal weapons, and in 2015, the Chiefs of Staff Committee approved 'The Guidance for Implementing the Provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention'.

The documents define the procedure for the use of non-lethal chemical weapons by military units during special, humanitarian, counter-terrorist operations, and peacekeeping missions. While previously the U.S. spoke of using such weapons only in response to chemical aggression by an enemy, an important aspect of the new rules is the ability to use toxic chemicals unilaterally.

In 2021, after testing in Afghanistan, the U.S. Army began shipping VKC pneumatic weapons with chemical munitions loaded with capsaicin to U.S. ground forces. Ammunition is fired up to a distance of 50 metres.

The use of 120-mm mines, 155-mm artillery and 120-mm tank rounds is envisaged to engage the enemy at longer range. It is hard to imagine that such ammunition is needed to disperse demonstrations or other peaceful purposes.

The transfer of non-lethal chemical weapons to third countries (Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine) is further evidence of the United States' violation of the Convention. For its procurement for use in combat areas in Syria and Iraq, the U.S. Department of Defence Budget Planning Department has allocated $10 million in fiscal year 2018.

During the special military operation, cases of the use of U.S. chemical munitions by the AFU were recorded.

For example, on 28 December 2023, in Krasny Liman tactical direction, copter-type UAVs dropped U.S.-manufactured gas grenades filled with the CS substance on the positions of Russian troops. This substance is irritating to the eyes and upper respiratory tract, and in high concentrations can cause skin burns, respiratory paralysis, and cardiac arrest. The compound belongs to the class of chemical riot control agents.

Moreover, the very fact that the U.S. is supplying such munitions in a military conflict is a violation of Article I of the Convention, which obliges States Parties to: '...never under any circumstances transfer directly or indirectly chemical weapons to anyone...'.

This is not an isolated case of Ukraine's use of non-lethal chemical weapons. Hand grenades with irritant chemicals, marked Teren-6, were dropped from Ukrainian UAVs on Russian troop positions on 7 and 21 April 2023.

On 31 January 2024, an unknown toxic chemical was used on Russian troop positions, the effects of which resulted in upper respiratory burns, nausea, and vomiting. The results of the research revealed the presence of the poisonous anthraquinone substance, which has a pronounced toxic effect and causes blindness, liver, and kidney dysfunction. Anthraquinone is banned in EU countries due to its carcinogenic effect.

Earlier, on 15 June 2023, a drone with a plastic container containing a mixture of chloroacetophenone and chloropicrin was used on Russian servicemen near Rabotino (Zaporozhye region). While the former compound is classified as a chemical riot control agent, chloropicrin is listed in Schedule 3 of the CWC and is banned for use even for law enforcement purposes. Repeated use of chloropicrin-filled munitions was recorded near Rabotino on 3 and 11 August 2023.

Thus, Ukraine, with the complicity of Western countries, is not limiting itself to the use of non-lethal chemicals, actively using scheduled chemicals.

I would like to draw attention to the statement by the representatives of the AFU that they have at their disposal similar compounds, including analogues of the warfare tabun agent (GI), which is included in Schedule 1 of the Convention and was used by the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War.

Cases of the use of toxic substances by the AFU have been recorded with regard to Russian servicemen.

Here are some examples.

On 19 August 2022, a toxic chemical analogue of the Convention's Schedule 2 chemical warfare Bi-Zet agent was used.

A similar substance was found on 28 January 2024 in the course of operational-search activities in a cache in Melitopol. The poisonous substance was in vials labelled 'Biosporin' in Ukrainian.

On 8 and 16 February 2023, the use of hydrocyanic acid using drones was recorded.

The AFU uses toxic compounds not only during military operations, but also to carry out terrorist acts.

Thus, on 9 August 2022, the head of the administration of Kherson region Vladimir Saldo was hospitalised with signs of poisoning. Laboratory tests revealed the presence of the substance ricin, a substance in Schedule 1 of the CWC, in the biomedical samples.

In addition, on 5 December 2023, the head of the administration of the Lugansk People's Republic Leonid Pasechnik was severely poisoned with phenolic compounds.

Other cases of poisoning of high-ranking officials are known and investigations are ongoing.

According to available information, the Kiev regime, with the assistance of Western curators, is developing new tactics for conducting combat operations using a 'special chemical belt'. It involves detonating tanks of hydrocyanic acid and ammonia as Russian troops advance. From September to October 2023, the specified chemicals were delivered to areas of Kramatorsk and Kupyansk, which are planned to be placed along motorways and at major transport interchanges.

It is expected that such tactics will significantly hamper the activity of offensive operations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and give Kiev additional time to prepare defensive lines in Zaporozhye, Kharkov, and Sumy regions.

Plans for the large-scale use of toxic substances are evidenced by Ukraine's requests for antidotes, gas masks, and other personal protective equipment.

Pay attention to the request of the Ukrainian Permanent Mission to the EU to the military headquarters of the European Union to supply the AFU in 2024 with general military protective kits and gas masks - 283 thousand each; protective gloves and anti-chemical bags - 500 thousand each. The requested nomenclature also contains 150,000 antidote kits and 20,000 tests for the rapid detection of chemical warfare agents.

In 2023, NATO countries have already supplied Ukraine with personal protective equipment (more than 55 thousand sets), antidotes for organophosphorus poisoning agents (600 thousand ampoules), as well as preparations for detoxification of mustard gas, lewisite, and hydrocyanic acid derivatives (750 thousand vials).

Obviously, the volumes requested by Ukraine are excessive for a country that does not have chemical weapons.

I would like to note that the investigation of all these incidents was carried out in accordance with OPCW requirements, using field and stationary laboratories that make it possible to reliably identify the type of chemical compound and the country of production.

In-depth sample analysis was carried out at the The Russian Federation Defence Ministry Central Research Institute 27 of the Research Centre of the Russian NBC Protection Troops, which has held OPCW accreditation and the highest rating qualifications for the past twenty-five years.

In all of these cases, the necessary evidence base is available and has been submitted to the OPCW Technical Secretariat. Four months later, there has been no response from the Organisation to the evidence we have provided about Ukraine's violations of the Convention.

In conclusion, I would like to return to the current state of (affairs at) the OPCW.

Let me remind you that the Organisation is composed of the main bodies - the Conference of States Parties, the Executive Council, and the Technical Secretariat, which includes the Director General, the Inspectorate, scientific and technical units.

Despite the fact that the Organisation's activities presuppose equal rights of participants, in November 2023, for the first time since the signing of the Convention, the Russian Federation was essentially 'expelled' from the OPCW Executive Council. We were replaced by Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, countries that have a clear anti-Russian policy and have never had chemical weapons. At the same time, Lithuania submitted its bid for the election three hours before the deadline.

Thus, another international platform was formed, the activity of which is fully controlled by the USA and used by them for settling political accounts with undesirable countries.

We anticipate the direction in which the work of the OPCW with regard to Russia will be organised.

It is planned that, similar to the investigation into the Syrian 'chemical military dossier', a judgement will be handed down striking down Russia's rights as a state party to the Convention, depriving it of the right to vote, as well as the ability to be elected and to hold office in the relevant bodies. In the future, materials on Russian Federation's 'alleged violations' will be sent to the UN General Assembly and Security Council, as has already been realised with regard to Syria.

I would like to inform you that all the documents at our disposal confirming the facts of violations by the United States and Ukraine of the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention have been submitted to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for a procedural decision.

But that is liberal fascism, the same that ignores what goes on in Gaza just enough for it to continue. The good news for Zelensky is that even if there are only Just 8% of Ukrainians ready to take up arms against Russia - pollster, there should be plenty of people elsewhere who sympathize with the means and goals. And if they don't, then western Liberal Fascists have tried out a few new heavy crown control weapons in Ukraine that can be used to curb dissent. Is that a reason for some EU governments to be eager to send a few troops to Ukraine? Perhaps the loss of most of these citizens is not what matters, the gaining of experience for the few that survive, does.

It is possible the coming US administration will roll back some of the activities in Africa, but it is also possible the efforts will only be stowed a little more away and continued in some form by private companies associated with the military industrial complex and the pharmaceutical industry. The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation continues to analyse the military and biological activities of the United States of America in Ukraine and elsewhere in the world. We drew you attention to the relocation of unfinished Ukrainian projects on the territory of countries of the post-Soviet space and Southeast Asia.

Africa is now the zone of heightened interest. The U.S. Administration sees the region as an unlimited natural reservoir of dangerous infections' agents and a test ground for experimental medications.

After analysing the acquired documents, we understood the structure of the system created by the U.S. Administration to mitigate biological risks on the territory of other countries. This system has been successfully tested in Ukraine and Georgia and now it actively works on the African continent. The efforts within the framework of this system are directed at acquiring pathogens in endemic areas and natural foci, controlling and managing the biological situation for their own benefit. One of the tasks is analysing the epidemic situations along the borders of the geopolitical rivals in the presumed deployment areas of military contingents.

I would like to remind you that the deployment of the American system of biological controls goes according to a plan that was used before.

Concerns are primarily raised about regular outbreaks of, for example, anthrax and tularemia in one region, and foot-and-mouth disease and plague in the another. As a rule, these concerns are pointed out during meetings of the U.S. ambassadors with the representatives of the countries' ministries of health. American counterparts note that such outbreaks undermine the development of the region's economic potential. They question the training level of leadership and specialists, when it comes to neutralising biological threats, and state the need to improve their qualifications.

Against this background, it is proposed to establish a centre for disease diagnostics and testing of medical products within one or two years, which will study dangerous pathogens and mechanisms of their mutations, and develop and test modern vaccines.

It is also planned to involve local specialists in the research projects of the DoD Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at the same time. It is proposed, that the U.S. are to prepare a three-month training programme for the centre's employees.

The integration of regional information systems into the US electronic disease surveillance system is discussed. The representatives of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) often advise their partners to accelerate that process and pay particular attention to ensuring the non-stop work of the necessary equipment and network communications.

5-10 million U.S. dollars are allocated to achieve these goals with a possible increase in funding up to 20 million dollars taking into account the implementation of the first phase of the project.

The U.S. government authorities and private contracting companies, including the so-called Big Pharma enterprises are involved to organise cooperation with the local relevant ministries.

The result of this selective support is the transition to American personnel training standards, transfer and generalisation of the information on the biological situation, degradation of national health care systems, imposition of suppliers of medical equipment and medications.

At the same time, the participating countries involved in this system lose their national sovereignty in the sphere of biosecurity and become fully dependent from the United States.

The documents at our disposal confirm that the U.S. biological warfare presence on the African continent is growing at a rapid pace.

Research of the U.S. Department of Defence (DoD) actively work in the region. For example, branches of the National Naval Military Medical Center are stationed in Ghana and Djibouti, where active work is carried out in natural disease foci, isolation, and sequencing of pathogens.

The U.S. Army Military Medical Center in Kenya has deployed a network of field stations to monitor the spread of infectious diseases in Equatorial Africa.

In Nigeria, a joint medical research centre and a military medical laboratory of the armed forces of the republic have been established in 2024, with 10 U.S. DoD specialists permanently on staff.

A new $35 million laboratory facility is being completed in Senegal. The project involves the same Pentagon contractors as in the former Soviet Union - in Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. Among them are CH2M HILL, Black & Veatch, and Metabiota.

The Pentagon uses the relevant infrastructure and potential of African countries to conduct military-biological research. The U.S. Government customers are the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the National Security Agency, and the U.S. State Department. The main consumers of the research results are the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

At the same time, the United States does not disclose the ultimate goals of the experiments to partners, who are often unaware of the risks associated with the implementation of U.S. programmes.

Washington has deliberately exploited the economic problems of African states' healthcare systems to organise research. For example, the United States has channelled some 40 million U.S. dollars to support Guinea's health system. At the same time, the U.S. Administration initiated a project in the country to study Lassa Fever, a severe infectious disease for which there are no means of prevention or treatment. Special attention to this country is due to the U.S. desire to damage Russian-Guinean economic cooperation.

American-funded biological projects in Nigeria are aimed at combating HIV/AIDS. As volunteers, Nigerian nationals are participating in a clinical evaluation of antiviral drugs from the Pentagon-affiliated company Gilead. I would like to remind you that this pharmaceutical company conducted trials of its drugs on Ukrainian citizens.

This year, the Pentagon started active research of highly dangerous infectious agents in Zambia. At the same time, funding was directed at improving the capacity of military medical facilities and retraining medical personnel.

The United States is working with South Africa to establish a collaborative study of the monkeypox virus at the South African Institute for Vector-borne Diseases. Washington has donated 10,000 doses of a vaccine for the disease, produced by the Danish company Bavarian Nordic, which has not received final approval from the WHO and can be used only in high-risk individuals.

The Pathogen Genomics Initiative is studying patterns of infection and resistance of pathogens to medical drugs. Funding is provided through the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as contractors and philanthropic foundations that work closely with the Pentagon.

It is noteworthy that bioinformatics specialists are involved in the research, whose duties include editing the genomes of the identified microorganisms, which may lead to enhanced functions of pathogens.

With the African Centre for Disease Control's African Union Biosecurity and Biosafety Strategy scheduled for adoption in 2025, the U.S. has intensified consultations with countries in the region to ensure Washington-friendly provisions in the document.

The Americans are particularly concerned about the work being carried out by Russia and China with the countries of the continent to expose the true content of the U.S. military-biological programmes in connection with the possible restriction of the Pentagon's activities in this area.

While the stated goals are to monitor infectious disease and assist developing countries, in practice we see a buildup of U.S. biological-military capabilities that circumvent BWC commitments.

There is a clear trend: pathogens that fall within the Pentagon's area of interest subsequently become pandemic, and American pharmaceutical companies become the beneficiaries.

An example is infections such as yellow fever, monkeys fever, and Rift Valley fever, whose outbreak has been detected in Cairo, where the U.S. Navy biological warfare laboratory was based.

We have already drawn your attention to the real customers of military-biological projects and their attempts to work under the cover of contractors. For example, the Metabiota proposal on the slide is for the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases to train infectious disease specialists in Kenya and Uganda. The document indicates that pathogens in the African continent are being studied by the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and in order to give the appearance of humanitarian interaction, the U.S. International Development Agency.

I would like to remind you that Metabiota's activity has now been discontinued in Africa. According to a report by an international panel of experts involved in fighting the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone, company personnel concealed the fact that Pentagon employees were involved in the work. The main purpose of this activity was the isolation of virulent strains and their subsequent smuggling. As a result, samples of the Ebola virus were smuggled by representatives of the company and sent to the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases.

The slide lists the organisers and participants in illicit biological-military activities within African countries. They include servicemen of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, staff from the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) regional offices, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Africa, and representatives from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Alexis Robinson is the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency Attaché for South, Central and East Africa, who has been involved in training local specialists in DTRA operations in exchange for intelligence of interest to the Pentagon.

Helina Meri and Mark Breda are regional directors of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Nigeria and Tanzania. They acted as organisers of the collection of biomaterial from the local population for the benefit of the U.S. military, as well as the testing of unlicensed drugs.

Jane Wachira is the chief executive officer of the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute. She facilitated unrestricted access for U.S. specialists to Kenya's collection of highly dangerous pathogens.

John Nikoimo is the head of the Special Operations Command in Kenya. He supervised the DTRA programme to enhance the capability of Kenya's defence forces to handle chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear substances.

As a result of the analysis of the documentation received, more than 30 persons were identified, including officials of government bodies, employees of intermediary organisations and private companies.

It should be noted that the information previously voiced during briefings by the Russian Defence Ministry about the U.S. military-biological activities on the African continent was heard by the foreign media and the expert community.

Relevant comments were posted in the European and American media, as well as on information portals in the Middle East region.

Particular attention is paid to the relocation of unfinished military-biological research from the territory of Ukraine. Thus, the Daily Telegraph noted that: ‘... the Pentagon is forced to relocate unfinished research within the framework of Ukrainian projects to other regions...’. A similar publication is presented on the website of the Indonesian agency Asia Today.

The articles in The Diplomat and Bulawayo expressed concern about the closed operations of American military biologists in natural hotspots in a number of African states, as well as the Pentagon's plans to deploy a network of biolaboratories.

A number of publications have expressed concern about the activities of the U.S. private military campaign Bancroft on the territory of the Central African Republic on behalf of DTRA. The French RFI agency linked such activity of PMCs with an attempt to protect the main coordinator of military-biological projects from public attention.

The Geopolitics online edition published an article on the joint activities of DTRA and the U.S. non-profit organisation RTI International to monitor infectious diseases in Africa, which, according to the publication, is a component of the Pentagon's broader ‘biological espionage’ initiative.

In addition, the regional media have paid close attention to the fact that clinical trials of medicines that have not been approved by the WHO have been conducted on the population of African countries.

Thus, against the backdrop of Russia's progressive strengthening of its position in Africa, including in the field of biosecurity, the United States seeks to prevent the weakening of its influence in the region. I would like to recall once again Washington's non-transparent working methods and warn our African partners against cooperating with the United States in the military biological field.

As practice shows, such interaction results in the loss of national sovereignty in biosafety and a worsening of the disease situation.
