Black Hawk military helicopter collides into American Airlines flight landing at Reagan Airport in Washington, DC

Not sure if this was posted before, but I had come across this channel, on a different topic, but noticed that this video of this event was available. The communication between air control and the incoming airplanes.

I thought it was interesting

Could this have been avoided? The NTSB has released a report with 74 findings, 50 recommendations and 5 contributing factors. Basically it was an accident waiting to happen. (Video 14.30 minutes).

Maxim Noumov skated in this year's winter Olympics to "In Your Shirt" by the Irrepressibles and "Nocturne no.20" by Frederic Chopin. His parents were aboard American Eagle flight 5342 when a UH-60 (uniform hotel) crashed into it at night.

I added up the numbers associated with the crash. I took these from Wikipedia.
  • UH-60 and CRJ700 aircraft collided = 13
  • 67 people were killed = 13
  • Date of the crash was 29-1-2025 = 21 = 3
  • Crash occurred at 20:37 = 12 = 3
  • Altitude of the crash was 300 feet = 3
  • The jet was redirected at the last minute to runway 3-3
I'm not very experienced with numerology, but I've been thinking and dreaming about aviation and ice skating a lot the last couple weeks, so I couldn't help trying to find some clues when this thread popped up today.

As far as the DEI remark by the Cs - My understanding is that the DEI initiative is a program being run to influence the appointment of easily-manipulated people to positions in which they don't belong. I don't think women are less apt pilots when compared to men with equal training and experience.
