Indeed, but I don't think we should underestimate the Israelis and the US 'deep state'. The Israelis' pathological paranoia and pure psychopathy has made them very effective at infiltrating and subverting other nations. Consider the "pager" attack in Lebanon last year and the planning and intel that went into that operation. They have, no doubt, many assets in Iran and probably have convinced themselves that there is a way to "take out" Iran without much blow-back. That doesn't mean that wishful thinking won't screw up their plans, but they are very cunning.
