Actually, this makes sense. Some of the crash site footage looks like a large battle field with few areas in very black (Charred) rather than airplane crash with bebries spread across. Probably US bombed the location by themselves to remove any debries for possible technology leak ( through reverse engineering). Hard to know yet.

Iran is saying they bombed their own downed pilots, so the Iranians couldn't capture them.

I enjoyed the Hogsbreath one so much that I most likely have to repeat 3D a few more times to pay off the karma.
