Brace Yourselves For War Between Iran and Israel

video on Water issues in Iran -not looking good as we go into the chinese year of the fire horse ...

it covers the issues outlined below

Iran is described as facing "water bankruptcy". What started as a slow-burning problem has now turned into a full-blown crisis. The capital region, home to more than 10 million people, could fail to meet the demand for water within weeks. No city has reached that point in recent human history, but some have come close.South Africa's Cape Town narrowly avoided hitting what is known as water "Day Zero" back in 2018. Since then, the world's climate has got warmer and drought conditions have got worse.Water shortages are threatening food security, fuelling conflict and already forcing millions of people to leave their homes. So will Tehran need to be evacuated? Is that even possible? And what can be done to address the water crisis there and elsewhere?

Floods, blizzard leave 4 killed, 9 missing across Iran

MMMMM
Floods and blizzard left at least four people dead and nine others missing across Iran over the past two days, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) said on Monday, reported Xinhua.

In a statement published on its website, the IRCS said the victims were from the northwestern province of West Azarbaijan and the southwestern province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

It said that of those missing, eight were in the southwestern province of Khuzestan and one in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, adding that its rescuers were using all available capacities to find them.

Heavy rainfall and snow have swept through more than 20 Iranian provinces since Sunday, causing floods and the blockage of intercity roads.

Im aware of this - however its not been enough to sort out the issue in the the main cities such as Tehran - definately for the the more provincial rural areas it is helping to some extent . The water issue had developed of quite a long period of time -contributing factors being drought, neglect of water supplies infrastructure in cities- a few weeks of heavy rain may ease situation somewhat but wont significantly be a quick fix for a longterm issue ;)

ATHENS, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- All flights in and out of Greece were suspended on Sunday after a nationwide communications failure disrupted air traffic control systems, Greek state broadcaster ERT reported.

The problem occurred at around 9:35 a.m. local time (0735 GMT), affecting Greek airspace and halting arrivals and departures at Athens International Airport as well as regional airports.

According to initial information, the disruption was caused by a malfunction in the central radio communication systems of the Athens and Macedonia area control centers, leading to the closure of the Athens Flight Information Region. Only aircraft already in the air were being handled, while many other flights were diverted to Türkiye.

Hundreds of passengers were stranded at airports, with repeated announcements informing travelers that flights had been suspended due to a technical issue

Travelers Grounded Across the UAE and Saudi Arabia as FlyDubai, US-Bangla Airlines, Saudia, and Gulf Air Face 18 Cancellations and Over 200 Delays, Affecting Major Airports in Dubai and Dammam

Travelers are facing widespread disruptions across the UAE and Saudi Arabia as FlyDubai, US-Bangla Airlines, Saudia, and Gulf Air struggle with severe operational challenges. A total of 18 cancellations and more than 200 delays have left passengers stranded at some of the busiest airports, particularly in Dubai and Dammam. The delays and cancellations are causing significant inconvenience, with travelers left uncertain about their next steps. These issues are affecting flights across major airports in both countries, highlighting the scale of the problem. The UAE and Saudi Arabia, home to key international hubs, are grappling with these disruptions, impacting both local and international travel. Despite efforts from airlines to manage the situation, passengers are being forced to endure long wait times and rescheduled flights. As more flights are affected, the impact on air travel continues to grow, leaving passengers frustrated and grounded across the region.

It doesn't look good, it looks like soon things will turn pretty ugly not only in the Middle East but in other parts of the world as well. It reminds me of the C's recent warnings that things will get stranger than we can imagine.

The Middle East could heat up again. Iran has issued two consecutive warnings that it could launch a preemptive attack against Israel, a clear shift in Iranian reactions and responses to potential conflicts with Tel Aviv. The Russians have also begun evacuating their diplomatic personnel from Israel.

The article mentions other countries, but I haven't found any information about any other country besides Russia doing this, so I would limit that part to a past staff reduction for now.

Iran Intensifies Threats Against Israel; Russia Evacuates Diplomatic Staff Amid Risk of Regional Escalation

Tensions in the Middle East escalated again on Tuesday after Iran issued, for the second time in less than 24 hours, an explicit threat of a preemptive attack against Israel, while Russia began an urgent evacuation of its diplomatic staff in Israel due to the deteriorating security situation.

The new Iranian warning was issued by the commander of the Islamic Republic Army, General Amir Hatami, who publicly echoed the threat issued the previous day by Iran's Defense Council, a body created after the security forces' failed performance during the recent 12-day war. The reiteration of the message in such a short period was interpreted by analysts as a sign of a deliberate escalation in Tehran's military rhetoric.

During a speech to cadets at the DAFOOS officers' academy, Hatami asserted that the escalating threats against Iran "will not go unanswered" and warned that any mistake made by its enemies would be met with a "more decisive" reaction, including the phrase "cut off the attacker's hand." The military chief accused external actors of deliberately trying to harm Iranian civilians, exploiting the country's internal problems, and transforming social protests into "planned riots."

In this context, Hatami distinguished between social protest, which he described as a natural phenomenon, and violence, which he attributed to foreign interference aimed at destabilizing the regime. These statements come amid growing internal pressure on the Iranian government, with demonstrations fueled by the economic downturn and the political impact of recent clashes.
The escalating rhetoric coincided with concrete preventative measures taken by international actors. The Russian Federation's military began the urgent evacuation of its embassy staff in Israel and their families on Tuesday, transporting them directly to Russia. According to official reports, this is the third evacuation flight carried out by Moscow in the last 24 hours.

The operations are being conducted using military aircraft and are coordinated between Russian defense authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in accordance with protocols for protecting diplomatic personnel in high-risk situations. So far, Russia has not reported how many people were evacuated or whether the measure will entail a partial or total suspension of its diplomatic operations in Israel.
Moscow's decision follows similar steps taken by other countries, which have begun reducing their diplomatic presence or evacuating citizens in response to rising tensions and fears of a further escalation of the regional conflict. Diplomatically, these moves are often interpreted as early signs that governments consider a sharp deterioration in the security situation plausible.

Taken together, the coincidence between Iranian threats and the evacuation of foreign diplomatic personnel reinforces the perception that the region is going through a particularly volatile phase, marked by explicit military warnings, internal pressures in Iran, and preemptive preparations by international actors seeking to anticipate a possible escalation of the conflict.

I was speaking with an iranian friend of mine very recently who has close family in Tehran -people over there are completely fed up with the the deteriorating economic situation (which has been going on for years incidentally) .The main bazaar in Tehran closed as a protest against the faliure of the government and to implement things like ensuring the water supply in tehran was properly repaired(its still not properly functional -other factors are high rate of inflation.) The continued neglect and inattention of the officials and politicos to listen and attend to the people of iran - corruption .The IRC are to blame as they are the entitiy that utilises militias (basagi)to punish (often in a very brutal way )any complaining or protests about these issues-its not a new thing ,its happened before always resulting in clampdowns and chief dissenters being imprisoned or executed) This has led to continued resentment and anger which has accumulated as an indirect consequence of the neglect of services/wages/healthcare etc etc -again its an issue of the elite serving themselves as opposed to others ..

obviously the west and israel will forment and exploit this , serving their sts agendas etc .
as I see it most of the Iranian population yearn to reclaim their country from a disfunctional and brutal bunch of thugs and Mullahs that have time and time again repressed any kind of dissent or protests with often murderous and brutish behaviour - so my concern is for the decent iranian people - trouble is as I mentioned before in this thread this genuine huge frustration of the people is being exploited from all factions - whether its the previous King of Iran (The Shah) Israeli lobby - USA- thats the main reason its very hard to get an accurate picture of what is happening exactly. So if the regime does collapse theres going to be a power vacuum with numerous factions trying to get in on the action- namely usa and israel ...
