Brace Yourselves For War Between Iran and Israel

Maybe Israel's main goal was to kill the Iranian leadership today with a surprise attack

The problem with that idea is that it would not have been a surprise. We’ve all known that the probability of strikes on Iran was high.

Could just be that the ‘momentum’ of the build-up crossed a point of no return. They let the bull out of the gate by sending so many ships and they couldn’t bring them back without losing face.

It’s petty and stupid, but that’s US/Israeli leadership for you.

🇮🇷⛴️ OFFICIAL ❗️ The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced via VHF radio that no ship is allowed to cross the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran is now effectively closing one of the world’s most important waterways for oil transportation. Around 20 million barrels of oil per day pass through the Strait of Hormuz, accounting for about 20% of global oil production. Considering only maritime exports, this share can reach 30–35%.

I forgot to mention…There was a report earlier in the day that the Israeli government said that whoever will record and publish the videos of strikes in Israel will face consequences. So we won’t see too much of the civilian footage of strikes on Israel…That’s important to note.

🇮🇷🇺🇸🏴‍☠ Sources confirm that a large number of bodies of American contractors and their families were incinerated in a strike on the Grand Air Hotel located in the Juffair area, close to the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet.

In the video above, there are other scenes of the moment the hotel was hit and several of its floors were destroyed.

It is indeed priceless from the view of someone with experience and from the view of normal folks. Trump had a window to act but it would have cost him his life and everything, now he has on his soul all those who were killed and will be in the interest of Israel; Palestinians, Iranians, Americans and in the end he will lose his life and everything.

I wouldn't be so sure about this. Just saying.

Things can change quickly, and before you know it, tens of thousands of US troops may be heading to Iran to conduct on the ground operations.
They do not have logistics, money, and soldiers for that. Iran is not Iraq and US is not what it used to be militarily and economicaly speaking, not mentioning what it will cause at home, popular revolt or civili war probably when they start be coming back in bodybags en masse, not mentioning losses in hardware. These are different times.

Reporting from Dubai. I have been in the UAE this past week on a family holiday and I was supposed to fly back home tomorrow (Sunday) morning but the airspace has been closed, so we're staying put until further notice. Can't deny that while we were aware of the risk of something happening, we still decided to come here, not the wisest of decisions I know.

I was able to see some of Iran's missiles fly over the coastline of the city with visible attempts by UAE to intercept them.

It started around 13:35 local time, when we heard two loud bangs coming from the direction of the Dubai Marina (SW of where we are) but couldn't see anything from our vantage in the Jumeirah area. We heard a fighter jet flying over the skies about an hour later.

Around 16:40 we heard a series of successive loud bangs which sounded like attempts at intercepting the missile(s) passing by. Here's a picture of an attempt just over the skies.

Around 18:30 I hear a bang and as I go out to watch, I notice a cloud of smoke further in the distance in what seems to be the group of islands known as The World.

Then, just before 19:00 we see a missile crossing the skies in a SW direction along the coast of UAE with several attempts at intercepting it, shown by the white smokey dots. Shortly after, we see what looks like the missile breaking off in the distance (2nd picture). Not long after, there are reports with video clips of a fire at the Fairmont Hotel at the Palm in Dubai. It's speculated that it could have been caused by the debris of the missile, but it's hard to know at this stage.

I saw another attempt at intercepting a missile later on and plenty of bangs since.

From my understanding, Iran has been targeting US military bases in the region. Other than the Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi, there is the Jebel Ali Port in Dubai that serves as an important logistics hub for resupply and maintenance of US military ships, which is likely what Iran has been targeting and it corresponds with the direction the missiles were heading towards.

While I'm not too concerned about a missile hitting a public or civilian place (although it can always happen), there is the risk that if a missile gets intercepted above the city, the debris could fall on buildings. The ones we saw were flying close to the coastline.

Will keep you informed on the situation if there are updates.

Priceless!
Good video, Ritter's disgust for this war/all war is visceral. He has the sense that Israel has bitten off more than it can chew - according to Ritter, Israel will not be able to keep up its missile attacks for more than a few weeks. After which, Iran and others may continue to wage war. Who or what else may join the fray against Israel? Montezuma's Revenge, or Zarathustra's? Maybe it's time for 'ol Zarathustra to come down off his mountaintop and deliver some old-time deep cleaning balance.
