I'm not so sure. A lot of people will be scrutinising the 'evidence' very closely and even if the court delivered a biased verdict, they would still lose in the court of public opinion, which is really what this whole farce is about.
The Manrons can sue all they like, but unless they deliver something very closely approximating a true story (basically impossible for them), they're only going to shoot themselves in the foot. Any financial penalty that Candace incurs can easily be covered by crowdfunding. This is going to be highly entertaining, and it wouldn't surprise me if they withdraw the whole suit at the last minute under some sniffling pretext of "the emotional turmoil taking a toll on Brigitte's health" or suchlike.
