Did you read the article? It's quoting the Macron's lawyer who was giving an interview with a BBC podcast.

Here's the podcast so you can verify for yourself that he did say these things.

That doesn't mean he's actually going to follow through with any of it. Which is what Poussard is suggesting.

So in that sense it's fake. But it's still a real story that the lawyer really did say that they were going to do it.

I don't know anything about this Ary Abittan case, but his response is telling.

Ary Abittan is a French comedian and actor of Sephardic Jewish origin. He is accused of rape in 2021, a dismissal is pronounced in January 2025. Brigitte's "dirty *****" are feminist activists who demonstrate in his shows.

Pretty interesting development on the above; German mainstream radio is now talking about what “Brigitte“ said there:

They just aired a rather lengthy segment talking about what Brigitte said and the context: to a man accused to be a rapist [and pretty likely being one IMO]. Brigitte said that in the context of feminists outside defending the victim and calling the rapist out to whom she talks to. Radio just explained it in that way without defending Brigitte and aired statements that she should apologize now and that people are not happy in france.
