Thanks herondance for your kind comment above;

Started this as a way to acknowledge peoples markers of birth, being the one day where, for some, at different periods in life, can lead to much introspection and have differing effects. As forum members we live in different ways, different continents, family structures, ethnic customs and under different political thumbs etc.; some of us are with others and some are alone, but whatever the case, we all live with ourselves ultimately, within our own minds and birthdays can be either fun, a time of letting go, forgetting about the taxing questions we have of life or they are of a deeper struggle as this marker can bring much home to our being as we look to our place in things. Acknowledgement of Birthdays in this way perhaps lets people know that we think of them too in their joy or struggles on this their day. It also for some may offer a chance to share their thoughts of this day, or not, but this is open and does not particularly matter but it can be a venue of expression.

Birthdays for many I know can feel ominous :scared: as the day nears; so much to do and so little time to do it, especially with major markers that society defines, teenage, adulthood, quarter or half century markers and particularly that period when everyone offers you a seniors discount :whlchair:. These are linear markers of our 3d world and they are ingrained from our physical birth till our physical death and are preparatory markers of our next year going forward.

:scooter:

In saying the above, this thread is intended for anyone who notices someone’s birthday in the Calendar and wants to offer acknowledgement or anything else to be free to do so.

It has been my heartfelt honor to do this and it is also on behalf of the Forum that it is done, so please feel free to offer your salutations as you notice and feel predisposed to do so.

A very Happy Solstice to the Forum! :flowers:

I just wanted to thank you for your thoughtful post and always wishing people happy b-days. I think it's very kind and heartwarming to say the least. I agree with all that you said, I love acknowledging b-days too. Although I haven't said a lot of happy b-days in this thread, I still read and acknowledge it in my heart.

A very Happy Solstice to the Forum!

And a happy solstice to you, good friend. :flowers:

Hi Parallax,

It's the 30th here in NZ, so, happy half a century. :whlchair: Happy birthday to Arne too.

Happy B'day Arne!

Thanks, Parallax, for always keeping up with the birthdays, and I hope that your own was enjoyable!

Hi Parallax,

I have just had a chance to see this thread, I also wish you happy birthday. You were very considerate when you started this thread and kept up with everybody's birthdays, and you made the others very happy, you also made me very happy. I wish life gives you the happiness that you gave to us.

First, happy belated Arne, same day – hmm, and Avala on New Years Eve :), all within Mercury Retrograde this year too :scared:.

Well it would be a lie for me to say that reaching 50 does not come without introspective anxiety and pain too, keep trying to dampen down 50 years of programs and it is not easy at all.

Spend a quite day, been reading Myth of Sanity , dinner out with my wife, son and his partner – it was very nice; broke some eating rules too :-[, worked on a post and recapitulated on life.

Thank you deeply Deedlet, very thoughtful. Vulcan59, not in the chair yet; wish I was in NZ instead of all this cold/snow - GW ;D. Alana for your lovely card and thought. Shijing, enjoy you creative posts immensely – keep writing and Biomiast most gratefully too.

Special thanks to FOTCM :flowers: for helping me reach this mental 50 marker precipice relatively intact, at least slightly more awake then before; but as the C’s say, Maybe. Much work ahead…

Remiss of late not to be keeping up but would like on behalf of the Forum to extend Happy belated Birthday’s to Dauphine who celebrated on the 4th, MrsIching on the 5th and rrraven on the 10th; hope you folks took time for yourselves and enjoyed your day. To painter who today celebrates, hope you too experienced your day with what was important for you – Happy Birthday!
:flowers: :flowers: :flowers:
