Hi all,

The Am-EU group finishes chapters 26-28 of Pierre Lescaudron's Earth Changes and the Human-Cosmic Connection on August 18th.

I've attached the mind map below in both PNG & PDF form. For readability, I've also printed the mind map in bulleted form here. This is strictly a summary a main points of the chapter, but doesn't include the workshop discussion notes. They will return in a future post.

Chapter 26: Hurricanes Lightning and Tornadoes
  • Air spirals (hurricanes, tornadoes, & cyclones) are manifestations of electric discharges (charge rebalancing) between the ionosphere and Earth's surface of varying degrees of intensity.
    • There is an increased frequency of air spirals despite weaker Sun activity--this is due to increased atmospheric dust in the sky that reduces the conductivity of the atmosphere. This causes electric charges to accumulate faster, causing more discharge events to happen.
  • Despite an increased in frequency of discharge events, there is not an increase in the number of high intensity discharge events like category 5 hurricanes. This can be attributed heavily to weaker Sun activity.
    • There are still anomalous and high solar activity. See Typhoon Haiyan and the high Sun activity at the time, which was caused by high number of comets near the Sun.
    • There are two balancing factors: 1) the approach of Nemesis grounding energy from the Sun and thus its activity, and 2) the accompanying cometary swarm that increases Sun activity.
  • (Turgon): Was reading the aftermath of Krakatoa and read that people were walking around getting shocked--there was lightning in the air too. The dust particles in the air are heavily charged.
    • (Laurs): Why do some people get static electricity and some not under the same conditions?
  • Some weather phenomenon are reflections of battles in the higher densities.
    • (Turgon): It's like the Ra session where STS seek to dominate and STO resists and doesn't accept this. In weather phenomenon, cold and hot air meet to create something extreme--maybe it's due to these higher processes?
  • (whitecoast): Simpson's episode about the coriolis affect and a toilet.
  • Electrically speaking, lightning and hurricanes are similar via their discharges/charge rebalancing.
    • (Turgon): Lightning occurs in electron deficient locations, and hurricanes happen in highly conductive regions--i.e. the ocean.
      • (Anya112003): The Jersey shore has instances where hurricanes are heading towards it, but becomes just a storm before it hits shore. The ocean provides a lot of electrons, powering the hurricanes, but loses this supply when it approaches land.
  • (cassandra): You can feel the charge in the air and how it effects our minds before a rainstorm happens. Afterwards there is a feeling of relief.
  • An applied electric field on droplets of water causes the droplets to bind together.
    • (Turgon): It's like the sheets of rain preceding the ice age. The water droplet experiment shows that adding an electromagnetic force to water causes droplets to clump together more often.
  • Atmospheric dust helps the formation of clouds (condensed water droplets) and are able to hold electric charges that can cause lightning discharges.

Chapter 27: The Gulf Stream
  • The ionized nature of seawater makes it a good conductor. Due to magnetic field shielding from cosmic rays more strongly near the equator, the poles actually have about 50% greater conductivity compared to lower latitudes. These have direct effects on Lorentz forces.
    • This is why the ocean currents near the poles tend to be longer than those nearer to the equator.
  • Lower solar activity lowers the rotational Lorentz force of the Earth, which in turn weakens the force acting on the Gulf Stream.
    • (whitecoast): In Nature 2018, it found the Gulf Stream at its weakest for the last 1600 years.
  • The effects of global cooling will be more prominent below temperate latitudes--areas where they are fed by warm ocean currents coming from the intertropical region (Western Europe, Argentina, etc.)
    • (Turgon): Does that mean that during those regions will be most affected in the next ice age?

Chapter 28: Jet Stream
  • The speed at which the jet streams flow determines how straight they are--slower speeds at the Arctic jet stream (cold air) will cause it to "meander" and twist into where the subtropical jet stream is.
    • (Turgon): The jet stream meandering allows for cold Antarctic air to enter Ontario--creating a massive cooling effect in the region (cold front/polar vortex)
  • It should come to no surprise by now that the jet stream is powered and modulated by electricity--similar to the Gulf Stream. Unlike the Gulf Stream, the jet stream unbounded by coasts and is not affected by the Coriolis effect, making it so that the Lorentz force as the main contributor to its behavior. This stream is one of the main drivers of weather phenomena we experience day to day.
    • Weak solar activity causes the jet streams to slow down, and thus trigger this meandering of the Arctic stream, while high solar activity increases their speeds.
  • The two polar jet streams and the two subtropical jet streams are said to move counter-clockwise due to these carrying an overall positive electric charge. The equatorial jet stream runs clockwise due its overall negative charge.
  • The jet stream can also experience stalling or blockage where warm and moist air above the ocean is prevented from reaching and heating Western Europe.
    • These resulting pockets of hot and cold air in regions causes warm fronts, cold fronts, anticyclones, depressions, etc.
  • (whitecoast): There are ways to survive an ice age, see Russia's infrastructure for example
  • (anartist): Atmospheric dust reduces the conductivity of the air.
    • (cassandra): How does atmospheric dust affect the jet stream?
  • (anartist): The reduced activity of the Sun is theorized to be from Nemesis. Does that mean that the gulf and jet stream would also be weakened and shifted?

General Notes
  • Discussion on garlic--it's good for the heart.
    • May 30, 2009 session:
Q: (L) Well that's like how you deal with children. If you tell them no, you have to be consistent about it. So, if he whines and cries, I can't let that affect me. Alright. Now I want to ask about this Art of Living course a bit more. Craig has sent us his requirements which are to not eat garlic and to not smoke for the duration of the course. Are those ideas advisable for us?
A: No. Not smoking and avoidance of garlic are directly related to mind programming systems. Consider the culture and religious context of the system.
  • Other sessions mentioning garlic: Cassiopaean Session Transcripts Search
  • Breo: Cabbage kimchi is good for the belly.
  • (cassandra): Need to go through the book again to solidify some of the concepts.
    • Discussion on learning methods.
    • (Turgon): The repetition helps the learning process. Gurdjieff said something along the lines of reading something three times to better learn it.

Chapter 16: Radiocarbon Dating 'Anomalies'
  • Radiocarbon dating works by taking the ratio of carbon-12 over carbon-14. The latter has a half life around 5,568 years, so when the measurement occurs, scientists can tell how old something is by calculating this ratio.
  • This dating is not accurate, leading to dates that are younger than they should be. For example, thermonuclear explosions artificially increases the amount of carbon-14, which isn't taken into account. Another is fossil fuel emissions that release carbon-12.
    • Supernovas, cometary bombardments, and overhead cometary explosions introduce neutrons, further skewing the carbon-12 and carbon-14 ratio.
    • These in effect slides the timeline of extinction events. Ones caused by Nemesis may have occurred much earlier or later than 14 million years ago, meaning that Nemesis may not be at near its furthest point away from the Sun (aphelion), but approaching its nearest (perihelion).
  • The moons increasing eccentricity (deviation of orbit shape from a perfect circle) is an anomaly that can be explained by the presence of an unidentified celestial body beyond Pluto--Nemesis.
    • For these lunar perturbations to happen, Nemesis, given its mass, is around 4500 AU away from the sun, or 100 times the Sun-Pluto distance. It's close enough to influence other bodies in the solar system while escaping detection.
A 'nice' complement to ECHCC Ch 16, regarding the radiocarbon dating, is a section from the book Discovering the Secrets of the Sun by Rudolf Kippenhahn, basically stating that the main driving mechanisms behind variations in 14C concentration in the Earth's atmosphere are the intensity of geomagnetic field (how much it deflects cosmic rays that in fact produce 14C from abundant stable 14N in the atmosphere), followed by solar activity levels (again the same principle of deflection, i.e. shielding from incoming cosmic rays).

The same argument is 'confirmed' in numerous articles in e.g. Radiocarbon journal (link), where also the importance of 'proper and correct' calibration is stressed, without which the samples can appear much much younger than obtained by other dating methods.

In the article "RADIOCARBON CALIBRATION AND COMPARISON TO 50 KYR BP WITH PAIRED 14C AND 230TH DATING OF CORALS FROM VANUATU AND PAPUA NEW GUINEA" (link), for example, apart from this bias towards younger dates, was stated that radiocarbon dating can go max. to 50 ky in the past (due to required minimal concentration of 14C for radiocarbon dating method to make sense) and that 'anomalies' were also related to "climate changes" which can reasonably be attributed to, besides changes in solar activity, also to major cometary impacts in the past (like Younger Dryas event for example).

ABSTRACT.
We calibrated portions of the radiocarbon time scale with combined 230Th, 231Pa, 14C measurements of corals collected from Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu and the Huon Peninsula, Papua New Guinea. The new data map 14C variations ranging from the current limit of the tree-ring calibration (11,900 calendar years before present [cal BP], Kromer and Spurk 1998, now updated to 12,400 cal BP, see Kromer et al., this issue), to the 14C-dating limit of 50,000 cal BP, with detailed structure between 14 to 16 cal kyr BP and 19 to 24 cal kyr BP. Samples older than 25,000 cal BP were analyzed with high-precision 231Pa dating methods (Pickett et al. 1994; Edwards et al. 1997) as a rigorous second check on the accuracy of the 230Th ages. These are the first coral calibration data to receive this additional check, adding confidence to the age data forming the older portion of the calibration. Our results, in general, show that the offset between calibrated and 14C ages generally increases with age until about 28,000 cal BP, when the recorded 14C age is nearly 6800 yr too young. The gap between ages before this time is less; at 50,000 cal BP, the recorded 14C age is 4600 yr too young. Two major 14C-age plateaus result from a 130‰ drop in ∆14C between 14–15 cal kyr BP and a 700‰ drop in ∆14C between 22–25 cal kyr BP. In addition, a large atmospheric ∆14C excursion to values over 1000‰ occurs at 28 cal kyr BP. Between 20 and 10 cal kyr BP, a component of atmospheric ∆14C anti-correlates with Greenland ice δ18O, indicating that some portion of the variability in atmospheric ∆14C is related to climate change, most likely through climate-related changes in the carbon cycle. Furthermore, the 28-kyr excursion occurs at about the time of significant climate shifts. Taken as a whole, our data indicate that in addition to a terrestrial magnetic field, factors related to climate change have affected the history of atmospheric 14C.

CME IMPACT--BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: A CME expected to graze Earth's magnetic field on Aug. 26th arrived later than expected. It struck on Aug. 27th around 0800 UT. So far, the weak impact has not caused a geomagnetic storm, although minor storms are possible later today as Earth passes through the CME's magnetized wake. CME impact alerts: SMS Text

INCOMING 'DAYLIGHT COMET' IS STILL ALIVE: Amateur astronomers have been wondering how Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3) is doing. NASA has an answer: "It's still alive." The incoming comet, which could become visible in broad daylight in October, was spotted this month by NASA's STEREO-A spacecraft apparently in good health on the other side of the sun.
