A bit of a curiosity that maybe doesn't mean anything, but thought I'd ask anyway incase it indicates something about Earth/gravitational changes.
I measured myself about 6 months ago because I have virtually no disc left between my last lumbar and first sacral vertebra and I was wondering how much height I'd lost. Previously I'd measured 157cms. A self measurement came up at 162cms. I didn't take that seriously because it's difficult to accurately measure oneself. Then my height was measured at a specialist appointment and it was 162.5cms!
I have done some work on posture. If I relax into my old postural habit, I can account for about 3cms change, but that still doesn't take disc space lost and loss of disc height is common with increasing age I think.
Then I was talking to an acquaintance today and he made the comment 'It's taken me until my 50's to finally crack 6ft tall.' He has apparently been around 5'11 until his most recent health check and he's now 6'1.
So I'm wondering how many others seem to have increased in height.
