IS THIS TRUE?

TMPress SPECIAL NEWSFLASH ... UKR CIVIL WAR FORCES ALERT ... via TASIUKR ... SPECIAL MEDIA ALERT ... `Why Russian Federation Strike May Be Imminent' ... (New York) ... (Intel via DPR Defense HQ) ... (this is unconfirmed) ... Brief of Igor Strelkov and Vladimir Altyufeev about preparing of terrorist act by Kiev Junta ... Igor Strelkov, Defense Minister of DPR: "Kiev junta is planning large-scale provocation, as a result of which may be killed tens of thousands people of Donbass." He made this statement at a joint press conference with Vladimir Antyufeev First Deputy Prime Minister of DPR. "Exploration of the Defense Ministry of Donetsk People's Republic informed me that the enemy troops are preparing a large provocation. The aim of this provocation is the listing of Donetsk Republic as a terrorist organization, ie: charge us with terrorism and destruction of the civilian population," - said Igor Strelkov. "The idea is so monstrous that it is probably hard to believe. Hard to believe those who had not seen firing of phosphorus munitions into residential areas, who have not seen people affected by chemical weapons, who have not seen how howitzer shells destroyed the city center ... he said" ... "According to the data we obtained, and this is confirmed data," said Igor Strelkov, "during three nights military transport planes transferred to the Kramatorsk airport three short range ballistic missiles for the complex Tochka-U. These missiles are now under service and preparing to launch. The targets are pre-treatment facilities of the cities of Donetsk and Lugansk. For information - one of treatment plants have 120 tons of chlorine, another has 160 tons of chlorine. Substitute goal is the factory "Stirol", with reserves of ammonia, which is in the city of Gorlovka. It is assumed that before the missiles are launched, there will be carried out a propaganda campaign that the militia is preparing attacks on chemical plants in Donetsk and Lugansk." According Igor Strelkov, after all of the crimes which have been committed by Ukrainian troops in the Donbass, he is sure in everything. "There is no limit for these people. For them, nothing is sacred. The consequences can be appalling. Depending on the winds, chlorine vapor can reach an area stretching from the city of Donetsk to the town of Volnovakha [40 km distance]. In this area will be killed every living thing. People ... cattle ... all could die. The stores of chlorine are enough to be able to kill all life in the vast territory. Victims may be tens of thousands, maybe more. It depends upon the direction taken by the chlorine cloud ," said Igor Strelkov. Igor Strelkov, Defense Minister of Donetsk Republic hopes that his statement will prevent the use of such barbaric methods of punitive action.

Coincidence? Or maybe it wasn't really a "crazy Afghan soldier" who shot the American top-ranking general and possibly 15 others? And maybe it wasn't really Afghanistan?

Now that's a very, very interesting question! And may be - the main reason President Putin called an emergency meeting with U.N. Security Council Officer's?

Yep. As for the U.N. Security Council Officer's meeting, it is possibly connected to what happyliza has reported:

Just before this UN Council meeting, which was called for by Russia to discuss humanitarian situation in the South East:

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was due to send an official request at the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the UN to establish a humanitarian mission in southeastern Ukraine.

Maybe Russia knows about some planned provocations and is trying to prevent them by establishing an international humanitarian mission in the region?

Kiev junta is like a cornered rat now: today 300 Ukrainian police officers took the side of the South East. One could expect anything from this crazy government now, as they are desperately losing, it seems.

I strongly urge all of you to watch the Unknown Putin documentary in 5 parts:

Some parts of it are a bit tedious and somewhat confusing and the quality is poor, but it is WELL worth watching for getting an idea of what Putin has had to deal with AND what is going on in Ukraine right now.

The last half of part 5 gives a little personal information about Putin himself, history, incidents in his life, showing his character.

I really enjoyed the book "First Person" - interviews with Putin and people close to him, conducted in 2000-ish. Deals with all the periods of his life. Has some great anecdotes and background.

Just posted at RT that the Pentagon sent experts to Kiev for the crash investigation - (Cover story?)

Pentagon sends experts to Kiev as part of MH17 crash investigation
_http://rt.com/usa/178360-pentagon-assessment-team-malaysian/

Wednesday August 6, 2014

The Pentagon has sent an assessment team to the embassy in Kiev to provide support in piecing together the details of the investigation into the downing of the Malaysia Airlines plane.

According to the State Department’s request, some 12 logistics and surveying experts arrived to the Ukrainian capital on Tuesday. The team “will assess, advise and provide recommendations to the US embassy and their staff about possible US support,” Defense Department said on their website.

The US is weighing support to the Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia and other partners in their recovery work.

“Recovery operations are something — tragically and unfortunately — the US military has to do and has to be good at,” Defense Department spokesman Navy Rear Admiral John Kirby said, adding that “these people have expertise in that regard and again were asked by the State Department to come help assist.”

The news comes amid disagreements between NATO and the Russian mission to it, who accused the organization of being eager to rush to conclusions and place blame on the Kiev forces without waiting for the results of investigation.

The main qualm Moscow has with the organization is that its claims have repeatedly been accompanied by reference to evidence, which they however never presented. Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen keeps alluding to “a lot of information that indicate the separatists, supported by the Russians, are guilty [of the MH17 tragedy],” which the bloc’s chief calls “a war crime.”

It was therefore peculiar to Moscow that Rasmussen admitted the necessity of a “full independent international inquiry to establish the facts,” yet wasn’t willing to wait for the results.

Although he claimed that the separatists weren’t allowing anyone into the area of the crash site near Donetsk, OSCE has noted earlier that the convoy “comprised 25 vehicles, including a bus and two mobile ambulances,” for which everything went “smoothly.”

Presently, just as Moscow’s analysts voiced concern that Western appeals to end the fighting in eastern Ukraine are actually a smokescreen to later send in military aid to Kiev, they came back with allegations that Russia itself might send its troops in under humanitarian pretense.

Putin bans agricultural imports from sanctioning countries for 1 year
Published time: August 06, 2014 15:01

A one-year ban has been imposed on certain agricultural produce, foods and raw materials from countries that have sanctioned Russia. An order on economic measures to protect the country's security has been signed by President Putin.

UPDATE: Russia to ban all US agricultural products, EU fruit & vegetable imports - watchdog

The decree “on the use of specific economic measures” has been signed in response to sanctions imposed on Russia by a number of states over the Ukrainian crisis, the Kremlin said on its website.

While the law comes into force immediately, the government has been tasked to come up with a concrete list of imports to be banned.

The decree orders the Cabinet to take measures to provide a balance on product markets and prevent rapid price growth. The government has also to join efforts with manufacturers, businesses and retail store chains to increase the Russian goods supply.

Meanwhile, ministers are already drafting a list of products that could be affected by the ban and it can be ready already on Thursday, Natalia Timakova, a press-secretary for PM Dmitry Medvedev told Vedomosti newspaper.

The register of the banned or restricted products will be flexible, a source in the government told Vedomosti daily. It will include different kinds of vegetables, fruit, and meat. However, wine and baby foods will “definitely” not come under sanctions, the source added. According to another government official, cheeses, meat, and dairy products are those most likely be affected by the ban.

Last week, the European Union approved a new (the harshest so far) round of sanctions against Russia in addition to steps taken earlier. The package targeted financial, energy and defense sectors of the Russian economy. The so-called sectorial sanctions hit five Russian banks, including the country’s biggest, Sberbank. The banks were banned from raising capital on the EU’s capital markets. Also, the EU introduced an embargo on the import and export of arms and related material to and from Russia.

Speaking on Tuesday, ahead of signing the decree, Putin stressed that Moscow’s response should be “cautious.”

“Obviously we need to do it cautiously in order to support domestic manufacturers, but not hurt consumers,” he said.

Putin described the political tools of pressure being used against the Russian economy as unacceptable and added that they go against international rules and norms.

A day earlier, Medvedev said that Moscow would consider possible responses to EU sanctions against Russian airlines.

Vedomosti daily has been reporting Russia would limit European flights to Asia that cross Siberia, in response to EU sanctions that caused Aeroflot subsidiary, Dobrolet, to suspend flights on Monday. However, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday the report was a baseless rumor.

The Russian Retailers’ Association gave an assurance that the ban on agricultural imports will only affect the premium market segment, and ordinary customers will not feel the impact. The group’s executive director, Andrey Karpov told RIA Novosti that the association will now reconsider the pool of foreign suppliers and increase the number of Russian vendors.

At the same time, Russia’s import limitations will not change the European Union’s stance on Ukraine, the EU ambassador to Moscow, Vygaudas Ušackas, told RIA Novosti.

According to this german source (http://www.zeit.de/wirtschaft/2014-08/russland-import-sanktionen) it was especially emphasised that all US agricultural products will be banned.

That source also mentions that Putin is trying to move its agricultural products (probaply permanently in the future?) inflow away from those western countries.

Cool move IMO. Who wants that US GMO crap anyway :D

Russia doesn't seem to be too fond of McDonald's either: Russia sues McDonald's, questioning quality of the food

The suit could temporarily ban the production and sale of the chain's ice cream, milkshakes, cheeseburgers, and Filet-o-Fish and chicken sandwiches, said Yekaterina Korotova, a spokeswoman for Moscow's Tverskoi District Court, where the case will be heard.

"We have identified violations which put the product quality and safety of the entire McDonald's chain in doubt," Anna Popova, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Russia's consumer protection agency, said in statements reported by the Interfax news agency.

Another cool move!
