Creating Stickers and Placards to extend awarness of SOTT,EE,Psychopathy etc.

:) this is nice and short, but I don't know what's mean STD. So I need to check the Internet first. For the meaning. Message should be understandable for everyone first IMO opinion. :)

Thanks for the response Kaigen! As I mentioned, I took that quote from another facebook meme so I don't think it would be right to re-use it, but used it just as an example. STD stands for Sexually Transmitted Disease, which is a common abbreviation in america, though it's certainly understandable that it would be of greater external consideration to make the message understandable to everyone (and even have some in languages other than english to better facilitate that, if the consensus was that this was a good approach).

I found an unused book cover design on Dr. Lobaczewski's Facebook page and emailed the owner of the page to ask if I could use the microscopic image on it. I didn't get a reply back so I'm posting this image to promote the book without the original artist's permission. If anyone knows who made the microscopic art with the devil horns, can you please help put us in contact so I can ask for permission to use the design? I hope to eventually make stickers of it to give away to promote the book, but I don't feel right about that unless the original artist agrees to let me use his or her image.

Hey Scarlet, those are Tigersoap's designs so perhaps he'll see the thread.

When you say 'us', are there others you are working with in this promotion?:

If anyone knows who made the microscopic art with the devil horns, can you please help put us in contact so I can ask for permission to use the design?

Or does 'us' mean you and the designer?

Also, since the designs are Tigersoap's, I think it would be best to wait to see what he says before altering it. A while back he did specifically address that he doesn't want anyone to alter his designs without permission.

Thanks for your help, Shane! I will wait to hear from Tigersoap and apologies to Tigersoap for modifying the image above without permission. Also, when I wrote "us" I was referring to putting me and whoever made the microscopic design in contact.

Edit: I deleted the image I created with his work since you said he wants permission first. Tigersoap, May I modify the microscopic design you created above to add, "Political Ponerology www.ponerology.com" in a circle around your design? Please let me know if this might work and I will repost the image. Thanks!

It's ok, just try to keep in the mood of the illustration ;)
I think it can work for a round sticker if you remove the text below and put it around the circle like you said.
Or just remove the original title below and replace it with what you need.
Otherwise it might be too much but that's just me.

Thank you so much, Tigersoap! :D What do you think of this design?

Hello everyone :)

I'm about to create a few flyers to spread them in Berlin. This is kinda spontaneous and must take action Monday next week. Tuesday is May Day March. "International Workers' Day (also known as May Day) is a celebration of the international labour movement and left-wing movements. It commonly sees organized street demonstrations and marches by working people and their labour unions throughout most of the world. May 1 is a national holiday in more than 80 countries. It is also celebrated unofficially in many other countries" (wikipedia) So there will be many, hopefully critical and open minded people on the streets and in the bars and coffee shops, who may get there hands on those flyers. I collected some Mr. Fish illustrations that cover the ponerisation issue more or less, especially the ones, that are not so much USA-related and can be understood globally. Maybe I print some posters as well (Friday).

Do you think using Mr. Fish for promotion would be OK, basically? I am planning to combine them with "Sott.net - The world for people who think" and the logo. Unfortunately I have not much time to prepare them.

He signs his pictures, but if you're only having the SOTT logo with the picture it might be good to make a tag underneath the picture saying it is copyrighted by Mr. Fish. My thoughts anyway.

Good luck!

Thanks Shane :)

Ok, I will upload some examples as soon as I've got one finished. Is there a hires-print-version of the six percent psychopath-poster somewhere?

There's this:

http://www.sott.net/images/posters/6percent.jpg

I got it from the left side bar on SOTT. It's not very high res -- 1795 x 1287 pixels, but you can output it digitally (a good ink jet printer for example -- Epson photo printers are great) at a service bureau at 72 ppi (pixels per inch) to give you about a 25" x 18" print. The Epson RIP's (Raster Image Processors) on the better photo printers show no quality difference for 72 ppi or 300 ppi if the original photo is good.

So in this case, you can make an A4 flyer or even bigger with room to spare, for example, output it at 150 ppi (to get a 12" x 8.5" print). If you print it with the printer resolution at 720 dpi (or higher -- but higher will use more ink and take longer to print), it should give you very good quality.
