Here is one of the flyers. I will modify the typo and add the copyright tag but this is how it will basically look like. Any further suggestions?

Eventually for a German flyer it would be good if the text is translated. Cause I don't know you will attend the May march.

Unfortunately this is quite spontaneous and I don't have the time to translate and handletter the texts. On the other hand Berlin is quite a multinational city. There are many people who can read English texts, especially younger people. May Day is just a reason for many to gather in one place and I want to use this opportunity to spread these flyers in coffee shops and bars. I don't want to attend this event myself. You think this is kind of rashly?

That should be fine. As long you don't run along with the rioters, the first May is quiete famous for in Berlin Kreuzberg and it's riots ;)

I'm not sure that he would be willing to offer a high res version of his cartoons for what looks like SOTT promotional posters. Basically, you're using his work to promote SOTT without compensating him, so I don't think that's a good way to go about it. If you want to use his work, by itself with his signature then that would work and on a separate poster, a SOTT promotion piece (there are many of them on the sott page here - http://www.sott.net/page/4-Promote-Sott-net#p1 ) - then that might be a better way to go about it. His cartoons are how he makes a living, so it's important to be sensitive to his copyright and monetary considerations.

I don't have too many fonts either, but I meant you could just write the text here online and I could write it in illustrator with some make-do font, upload it and link to an image of a resolution you'd like. I could put in a small 'imagekind.com' (from where the artist seemingly sells similar images through) in the border, but don't know if that covers a compensation?

That's the question. Hmm... we are speaking about a few flyers in a foreign country and this is a non-profit enterprize. But nevertheless... that's what troubles me all along. Too bad these flyers would work quite well with those cartoons on it :(

Basically I think a humorous way to present those issues is the best way to go. Copyright on the other hand is a problem. Most of the Sott-posters are quite overloaded with all these texts on it and they are also very sinister.

How about a few of the cartoons - without sott on them - and a few with sott.net on them - there are several on that page I linked that are not text heavy. Yes, it is in a foreign country and, yes, he'd probably never know, so it's up to you, but I would err on the side of courtesy just because that's my general aim anyway.
