Dark or "night mode" for the forum?

So, the responses reminded me that I can get extensions for my browser. I use Chrome and I found an extension for it called Screen shader. works great
Also a well-made "dark mode" extension for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome (or Chromium), Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari as well, is : Dark Reader.
(NB: Scroll down past the directory list to see the infos and download links for each web browser.)

PS (for Ms. Peel) : this nice extension offers two modes, (really) "dark" and "light" : I use this last one, even during the daylight, on some websites to improve their readability !
It allows also 4 settings (brightness, contrast, sepia, N/B), either for the whole web or some sites.
Quite useful, even a must-have, to me.

Having tried/used dark mode on various devices for quite some time I have noticed that it seems to hurt/destroy my eyesight and that rather quickly. Instead, the old black writing on white background seems a lot more friendly to my eyes compared to dark mode no matter how bright the surroundings.

When in normal mode I just reduce the brightness of the whole screen and that still seems far better to my eyes than any dark mode. So despite what everyone is saying including Grok I have personally found the old mode of reading black letters on white background much more tolerable to my eyes.

Yes, everybody's different. I still find dark mode to be preferable for my eyes. So I'm glad that it is available on so many different sites.
